Look, they're all crying.

A good movie is naturally not good in one or two aspects, the deep and distant music, the heavenly photography, the light and shadow, the composition, and the monologue with a philosophical meaning although it is slightly warm. . .
After watching the movie, I came here to read the movie review and found that most of the things have been explained.
I just want to mention one detail: when the Japanese gathering place on the island was discovered by the US military and bloody massacred, many young Japanese were at a loss in despair and cried. And the same expression is not unfamiliar to us - the tears of American soldiers almost run through the entire film.
They are all crying, why is there a need for war? Who needs war?

The Thin Red Line quotes

  • Lt. Col. Gordon Tall: Rosy-fingered dawn. You're Greek, aren't you, Captain? Did you ever read Homer? We read Homer at the Point. In Greek.

  • Lt. Col. Gordon Tall: [voice over] Shut up in a tomb. Can't lift the lid. Playing a role I never concieved.
