Vampire sequelae

Yesterday, I took the time to watch half of the night interview vampire I saw before.

What a nice view.

Among them, there are two shots that I particularly like. One is when Claude sleeps soundly before she transforms into a vampire, the innocent perfection makes people yearn for, which is in sharp contrast to her maturity after becoming a vampire; the other is Armand put one in the theater The process of the young girl becoming a vampire, especially the looking down picture of the young girl finally lying down, she feels that her body is beautiful like a flower. For other vampires, they are very classical and beautiful, but they are too pale and cold, and I don't catch a cold.

In fact, when it comes to coldness, this movie is not as stunning as four hundred years of infatuation. That movie I read first and then watched, it was utterly cold, from the scene to the music. In particular, the bright red dress with long backs of the vampire earl formed a strong contrast with his pale face and slender nails, giving people an extremely cold feeling. But this kind of paleness is different from the vampire's appearance in the Night Interview with Vampires, and this kind of paleness is contradictory. In terms of perception, you will feel cold and resisting, but Piaget's every move is so elegant and fascinating.

The paleness in this movie is pure paleness. Although I can see the fine bloodshot eyes under the skin of Louis's pale skin, I am still indifferent.

But it doesn't matter, this is not the main point of the movie. From the large number of warm scenes in the film, it can be seen that the highlight of the film is not the coldness of vampires, on the contrary, it is their loneliness.

This still has to bring together the four hundred years of fascination with the world. First of all, the four hundred years of stunning and infatuation is completely written about vampires from a human perspective. The film itself is full of fear and darkness. The beginning of Interview with Vampires was Louis telling his own story to a reporter, writing about their inner loneliness from the perspective of the vampires themselves. The film is full of helplessness and struggle.

Indeed, to describe a vampire is inseparable from the word loneliness. Whether from the loneliness of the vampire count for four hundred years in the four hundred years of shocking love, or the painstaking pursuit and confusion of Louis in the night interview with the vampire, both reflect the loneliness of the vampire. Even the dismemberment of the traditional vampire image in Twilight City leaves only some of its characteristics, but loneliness is still indispensable.

Since I am lonely, I want to find a partner. And usually they are not their own kind, so there is a choice, a very painful choice. I love someone deeply, and if I want to be together forever, I can only turn her into a vampire, but I love her deeply, and I can’t let her endure the pain she has endured. It is a contradictory choice and very painful.

If the vampire loses his humanity, it's okay. If he retains a trace of humanity, what kind of pain will he endure?

I once imagined my time as the life of a vampire, and the time I listened to songs as the life of a person. The melody, the notes, flashed in two or three minutes, but for a long time after that, I was immersed in the feelings it created, and even after a long, long time, once I remembered it, I would still be deeply moved. Then, I tried to speculate on the vampire's heart, but I still couldn't do it. I can't experience the eternal long-lasting pain of loneliness, but I understand that it is pain that is beyond the scope of my tolerance and understanding.

Get eternal life and youth, but have to endure eternal loneliness and eternal pain, and lose the power of love. Does this show from one side the value of our human life?

No matter what, I have to cherish everything now and live harder.

Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles quotes

  • Louis: Bear me no ill will, my love, we are now even.

    Claudia: What do you mean?

Louis: What died in that room was not that woman. What has died is the last breath in me that was human.

Claudia: Yes, Father. At last we are even.

  • Claudia: Louis, what's happening to her?

Louis: She is dying. It happened to you, too, but you were too young to remember.
