Why the devil judge and lamb
- Night watch "Hannibal"

into

I often think that this is what era it? Ugly can become virtue, sinister can be extended to connotation, and the devil can attract countless followers. Not how awake I am, but how depraved I am. When I watched "The Godfather" 10 years ago, I was immediately attracted to this pair of father and son, not the kind of artistic appreciation, but a kind of follow-through, shouldn't men be like this? So every move I move chairs now is to imitate Al Pacino's trial and execution of his brother-in-law, which I think is "stylish". But I haven't fallen enough, so I often ask, if the villains can be the followers of fans, how to identify the concept of good and evil in the film? Perhaps the film is not worthy of such a question, because when it selects famous actors as actors, it has been willing to accept the halo of famous actors, and even the producers are pursuing this kind of halo. So who can I ask?
But first and foremost, I'm glad I watched The Godfather a decade ago, not The Silence of the Lambs. Because Hannibal is more charming than Mike, not because of his "style", but because of his "god". Mike's killing is just a masterful conspiracy, Hannibal's killing is a fascinating philosophy. A person can be without a plan, but not without the feeling that life is life and death is death. So Hannibal's pursuit is much higher than Mike's. What Mike thought was nothing more than revenge and whitewashing, but Hannibal regarded himself as a Homo sapiens above all living beings. Mike knew that killing was killing, but Hannibal thought killing was pleasure, art, and philosophy. So we see a kind of human magic in The Godfather II's loss after Mike killed his brother and the confession to the Pope in The Godfather III. But when I went to Hannibal to find that out, all I saw was demonic human power.
This magical human power permeates beyond the film. Almost all film critics and fans put all their enthusiasm on Hannibal's actor Anthony Hopkins. In 1991, "The Silence of the Lambs" was released. Hopkins, who played Dr. Hannibal, became the Oscar best player with the shortest time out of the country with his elegant demeanor, high artistic appreciation ability, and ability to fully understand and control the psychology of the characters. male protagonist. Countless people became his fans, but people also identified themselves as fans of a man-eating maniac. 10 years later, as the sequel, "Hannibal" (Hannibal) was released. Hannibal, who escaped from prison, still murdered, but he has gradually been "cleaned" in the minds of the audience. Let's see who he killed: Youlian The pedophile serial murderer, the super-rich Wig, who is Wig's relationship with the police, who counts him because of his covetous bounty... So there is already a reason for killing, and it doesn't matter whether Hannibal is high Hang it up, and the internal organs are ejected from the ripped belly; or open the human skull to keep you awake, and then let it eat its own brain tissue with relish. Therefore, in the Chinese introduction of the film, it is written:

Hannibal played by Hopkins exudes an indescribable magnetism from his voice to his eyes. He has a special way of dealing with lines, especially the last word of each sentence. The syllables become playful. Compared to Hannibal, Clarice is far less "charismatic" because all the protagonists are somewhat "artistic," while she is realistic. Hannibal couldn't bear to hurt her, and she rescued him at the last minute. There is a feeling of sympathy between them, which is only one step away from the normal relationship between men and women. The film's composition, shot scheduling, and use of colors (especially blues and crimsons) are top-notch, so gorgeous that it feels like a ready-made opera if the lines are changed to arias.

What kind of evaluation is this? How can a temperamental old man who turns murder into an opera can not become the idol of thousands of fans who fight for trivial matters? Just as it is written in the Book of Revelation in the Bible: When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will come out to deceive the nations of the four corners of the earth, namely Gog and Magog, and cause them to gather to fight. We do not gather to fight, because we do not call evil worship for a living or venting a gathering and fighting, but a living or venting.
It's just that no matter how beautiful an opera is, it's also a murder. Mike's enemies fell in a pool of blood amid church singing, and victims' bodies were hung high in Florence's art-filled museum. No matter how much they should kill, they are people. But in the minds of the artists at the moment, they just "should be killed", so everything has a reason. Of course, they do not agree with the evaluation of their own evil, but consider themselves a kind of judge, even a savior. At least an angel! So the serial killer told Clarice: You know, I thank God for what happened. It saved me. Agent Starling, do you acknowledge the existence of Jesus? Do you have faith? So Hannibal let the hanged to see the picture of the Jews being hanged, let the brain eaters pray before meals, and said to Clarice with great authority: Speak like a real Protestant. From this you can understand why the "Silent Lamb" is used to describe a murderer. In the "Bible • Revelation", the Lamb represents Jesus Christ, who died and rose again and opened the seven seals, so disasters flowed on the earth. But Jesus is for salvation, Hannibal is only for disaster. Hannibal probably thinks of himself as Jesus' Skywalker, or as Christ himself, but he's just an Antichrist.
In the West, the Antichrist has been a pivotal figure in the popular imagination since the Middle Ages, and he is seen as Christ's chief enemy. The life of the Antichrist is blasphemous, perverse, or parody of the life of Christ to deceive his followers. But the clumsiness of this Antichrist is seen only by Christ, who is a charming Lord in the eyes of his followers. A 14th-century source records that there were

various prophets around Rome, their identities still very mysterious, and these stories have been made up for several years. They say that in 1349 the Antichrist was ten years old, and was a child of such beauty, a child so educated in all subjects that no one in the world could compare to him.

Isn't that the case with Hannibal, who is erudite, suave and even has a beloved (this is reflected in "Red Dragon", the sequel to "The Silence of the Lambs"), and he is rarely compared with him , his killing of the convicted was also regarded by himself and even others as a fair trial. But without love, judgment is nothing but blood and terror. "2 Corinthians" says: Those are false apostles, deceitful workers, pretending to be apostles of Christ. It is not surprising, because even Satan pretends to be an angel of light. So what is love? That passage in 1 Corinthians is enough to impress people of different faiths or even no faith for a lifetime:

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not boast. Not arrogant. Don't be shy. Do not seek your own interests. Does not get angry easily. Do not count the evil of man. I don't like injustice. Just love the truth. All inclusive. Believe everything. all things hope. endure all things. Love is never ending.

In murderous demons, there is only a false judgment. Where can we find patience and kindness? We can only see boasting, arrogance, and rage, and our own imitations of boasting, arrogance, and rage.

It is also here that I see hope and firmly believe that Hannibal is more thoughtful than The Silence of the Lambs, just as The Godfather II is more thoughtful than The Godfather. The two sequels are often criticized, but that's just the inability of the plot design-because the previous work was too detailed, but the sequel didn't care about that, but put it on spiritual reflection. This reminds us of Jesus' temptation to face the devil in the wilderness. If there's a lamb, it's Clarice, veiled by the sheer Hopkins style. She bears grievances but pursues unremittingly. She is not afraid of the sword in the hands of murderous demons, because what she fears is only those who have wicked hearts. Clarice has thousands of knots in her heart, but none of them makes her feel guilty. Facing the suffocating bloody patterns, she captured Hannibal's heart forever. But at the moment Hannibal was killed by his own kind, he showed his kindness. She rescued him, and then fell into her prison, but frail, she had an incisive conversation with the Brain Eater:

Hannibal: You're not going to let me survive again when you get the chance, are you?
Clarice: I don't want your life.
Hannibal: Just my freedom. You have taken it from me.
Clarice: If you touch me, I'll shoot you.
Hannibal: Understood.
Clarice: Honestly, you'll get through it.
Hannibal: Speaking like a true Protestant.

Indeed, it sounds like the words of a true Protestant. Just like the words of a true Confucian, Mencius said, rich and noble cannot be promiscuous, poor and humble cannot be moved, and might not be subdued. This is called a man. It is also like the words of a true Buddhist. In the Huayan Sutra, it says: If you hear and praise the Buddha and destroy the Buddha, you will not move in the center of the Dharma; if you hear the praise and destroy the Dharma, you will stay in the center of the Dharma; The Dharma Center does not retreat. Also like the words of a true Muslim or Hindus, Taoists and all true believers. Hannibal eventually escaped, but instead of leading Clarice's face, he left a hand behind. So I felt a glimmer of hope and forgiveness, even for Hannibal, because Clarice said: I don't want your life.
