so beautiful so sad

An early film by Mandy Moore. I just watched her "A Licence To Wed" and couldn't help but sigh with emotion for her past purity and refinement. The years have not left an imprint on her face, but the innocence of the youthful era has slowly faded away.

It's actually quite an old story. Like many youth campus novels. A rebellious bad boy meets a well-behaved and obedient outstanding student. From the mutual infatuation to the feeling of growing affection. From romantic love to jealousy. The heroine finally left because of leukemia, leaving only the sad hero looking at the sky and thinking: Our love is like the wind. I cann't see it , but I can feel it.

Maybe this kind of bridge is really cliché Sensational, but this is still the pure love that moved us. When he listened to her singing "Only hope", when he sang "Only hope"; when he fought his friends for her; when he affixed the butterfly tattoo to her; when he applied for her name as a small Named after the stars; when he said "I'll be there" with a tight embrace and firm eyes; when he finally learned the dance he was least at, slowly dancing with her for her, slowly turning; when he made her With a high-powered telescope, she finally saw the comet that came back only once in those decades... This is the memory of first love. so beautiful.

But so sad. The aggravated condition of the heroine is worrying. So there is the almost desperate roar of the male protagonist when he asks his father for help, the tears he forbears when racing in the wind, and the hugging and weeping after the phrase "I am scared of not being with you".

If affection is a tragedy, I still choose not to leave. Even if not forever. Even if only for a second.

Love is always patient and kind; It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited... It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense. And it is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure, whatever comes."

It's a quote from the priest at their wedding and a favorite of the heroines. When they are together The gentle smile on the pale face of the heroine when she said the vow. So beautiful and so sad.

Maybe some people will say it's too perfect, because it's too perfect to be realistic. There are too many people in real life who don't believe in love, there are too many People tell us that even love is difficult to change a person, there are too many books and too many people teach us how to protect ourselves and how not to get hurt in love. But if everyone hides in their hard shell, although they will not be hurt, Also can't feel the sunshine of true love. Sometimes we need this kind of faith, we need to know the power of love. It may not be so strong, but it is not so easy to be defeated.

A Walk to Remember quotes

  • Reverend Sullivan: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked." Hmmm.

[Landon walks into the Church as Reverend Sullivan is practicing his sermon]

Reverend Sullivan: "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap..." Can I help you?

Landon: Uh, yes, sir. I'd like to ask your daughter to dinner on Saturday night.

    Reverend Sullivan: That's not possible.

Landon: Well... with all due respect, sir, I ask you to reconsider.

Reverend Sullivan: With all due respect, Mr. Carter, I made my decision. You can, uh, exit the way you entered.

Landon: Listen, I'm sorry I haven't treated Jamie the way I should've. She deserves more than that. I'm just asking you for the same thing that you teach us every day in Church. And that's faith.

    Reverend Sullivan: [Exhales deeply]

  • Landon: That is one scary

[turns around and sees Jamie's father]

    Landon: Jesus!

    Reverend Sullivan: No, Jamie's father.
