I cried when he read to her through the night

I cried as he read to her through the night. I almost thought the director was going to use this precious love to prop up the whole film. However, I was still wrong. Misha gave Hannah hope to live, but also gave her the desperation to destroy her.

I think Misha is unforgettable in love with Hannah, he is actually a very simple guy.
When he heard Hannah's final sentence, he stood there weeping.
After so many long nights after the divorce, he patiently recited "The Odyssey" and "The Woman with the Puppy" for her one by one, reliving the good times many years ago... Lighting up Hannah in prison a beacon.
He sells his beloved stamps and plans a romantic cycling trip for two.
He kisses Hannah in front of the restaurateur's wife, to prove that he is her boyfriend and not her son or some other relative.
He refuses pretty girls of the same age and doesn't go to the birthday party his classmates prepared for him, but just wants to be alone with Hannah on her birthday.
They quarreled, and then wept sadly, he always apologized first so as not to lose her, and then complained aggrievedly that he always apologized first.
What a heartfelt, little man in love with all this.

However, poor Hannah, she has no luck in her fate.

When Misha had an epiphany in court about the fact that Hannah couldn't read, he understood that he couldn't reveal the truth with his own hands. In addition to the selfishness of his unwillingness to disclose his incestuous relationship with her, more importantly, he understood her , he would have seen the humble self-esteem that she would rather be falsely accused and conceal her illiteracy. A 19-year-old boy can see through the heart of a 44-year-old woman, all because they once loved.

He happily rented a new apartment full of sunshine for her, and thought carefully about what kind of oil painting to choose on the wall.
But she was finally heartbroken because of his sentence "How do you think about the past". But it was precisely because he cared so much about her that he couldn't forget this matter. He couldn't help but ask her the true opinion of her heart in person to answer the answer that he had been repeatedly confused about.

If he really doesn't love her anymore, he won't get revenge for having sex with his female classmate.
If he can forget her, he will not be unable to have a happy marriage.
If he didn't feel sorry for her, he wouldn't want to send her a tape and warm her with his voice.

But war and ignorance distorted all of this.

"I am unwilling and unqualified to grant this forgiveness."
This is what the survivor said, and it is also an answer given by the director.
Walking out of Hannah's humble cell where she served more than 20 years, she took her hard-earned 7,000 marks; Misha walked into the survivor's luxurious living room in Boston, in exchange for such frivolous and heavy words.

We all understand that the love that once lived on is as light as a feather in life itself.

He buried her next to the chapel through which they traveled. On their first and only trip, she was very, very beautiful, sitting in the church and being moved by the choir.

I once thought, what would happen to the story if Misha and Hannah's year-long love was pulled away? The answer I gave to myself was that the director made this arrangement because we even wanted to forgive a loved one , are so difficult.
