Mickey Rourke - the dignity of a man!

I used to watch ESPN wrestling when I was a kid, and the correct way to say it is wrestling. That exaggerated violence and bloody scenes deeply stimulated me. I can't imagine that there is such a cruel movement in the world, but I can't help but watch it every time. I still remember playing red and white machines when I was a child, and there was a game called wrestling. This cruel sport haunted me for years, and I didn't realize until many years later that it was all just wrestlers' performances. Perhaps because the cruelty was found to be false? Anyway, I remember having a feeling of being fooled at the time. For many years after that, I didn't see ESPN, and wrestling faded out of my sights. I didn't know until a few weeks ago, when I saw Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler, that this cruelty was real.
This is a man's movie. This wrestler named Randy had a glorious past and a terrible present. So he is out of step with the times, and his memory stays in the good 80s. He is obsessed with the heavy metal age, he listens to guns&rose, he mocks kurt cobain for being a sissy because it belongs to his age.
The feature film begins with a cough on the black screen, and Randy's down-and-out moment begins with this cough. A wrestler in his 50s who has no fixed place to live. His daughter left him. He was working in a supermarket and was called to and fro by his boss. He could only go to a stripper to find some solace. Wrestling was his profession, and more importantly, the only way he could find dignity.
But wrestling itself has died out in America, and Randy himself has suffered a serious heart attack from taking a lot of steroids. After he had to quit, Randy tried to live a normal life, but failed; he tried to repair his relationship with his daughter, but failed; he tried to start a real relationship with a stripper, but failed. It was his fault, but it wasn't either. Because it's not the 80's anymore.
A man needs to find his dignity, so Randy reprises the role of Feng's wife, albeit at the cost of his life.
In the film, director Darren Aronofsky used a lot of long shots of Randy's close-up special scenes, which brought the audience into Randy's world very well.
Darren Aronofsky is a great director because he found a great actor, Mickey Rourke.
Mickey Rourke became famous as early as the 1980s, and the famous "Love You Nine and a Half Weeks" almost hailed him as a popular niche. After that, he left the movie world to fight boxing, and he was scarred. Going back to the acting career, it is no longer his era.
There is no more Randy actor than Mickey Rourke!

Mickey Rourke: "I still remember a boxing match, I couldn't help but pee in the ring... I was completely dizzy until my coach kept slapping my face with his hands, I slowly regained consciousness and continued to engage in this game that I had to participate in. The process of working with Darren Aronofsky was very similar to that memory, he seemed to be the pair that completely woke me up Hand, with him, you just keep moving forward, no need to look back. As time goes by, my trust and respect for Aronofsky continues to grow, and I think he It should be the same as mine, I can feel that he has a very deep trust in

me ." "For me, it is really lucky to get a second chance, because I also know that young Some of my own behaviors were indeed a bit unsightly, and I'm sorry for that, but at that time, I really couldn't change myself, and my career was not going well, so I started to destroy the I have a piece of advice here, especially for those who are young and successful, it's really not a good thing to be successful too soon, because it's likely to leave you with scars for life - I've been questioning me life, and then the anger that I can't resist, it's really a little crazy."

    Randy 'The Ram' Robinson: Staples?

Necro Butcher: Staple gun... Not so bad on the way in, except it's a little scary, you know - you got this metal thing pressed up against you. Gonna leave some marks, have to deal with a little blood loss.

  • Randy 'The Ram' Robinson: Give this to your son, it's an authentic Randy "the Ram" action figure. Tell him not to lose it, it's a $300 collectors item.

    Cassidy: Really?

    Randy 'The Ram' Robinson: No.
