Fortunately, I already have two cats.
"Lightning Dog" seems to have many similarities with "The Truman World". "The Truman" describes more of a story of how to gradually discover oneself and find the courage to break free from the status quo in a closed world misled by others. And "Lightning Dog" is out of the protection of the closed world, and he needs to face all kinds of problems and unknown life.
This world is more difficult and dangerous for Bolt than Truman, because in the illusion of Bolt's own life, he is a superhero with powerful abilities and missions, and he is an extraordinary dog. The people around him instilled this concept in him for different purposes, so this is also the truth ingrained in Bolt's mind.
By chance, Bolt stepped out of the closed world and started a journey to face life alone. The oncoming problem is a series of problems. It first discovers that it can't jump very high, its strength is huge, and its meow has no destructive power; later it discovers that not all cats are evil followers; and then later Gradually realize that he is not an extraordinary dog, but just one of the most ordinary dogs.
Although this is a fictional funny story, it is not the way some people grow up.
I have met many such friends. I have been instilled with pretentious ideas in my family since I was a child. At school, the evaluation of teachers and classmates has also strengthened these ideas. Believing that you are destined to have extraordinary lives and achievements, as if you were destined to do so. However, it is only when I really take on my life alone that I realize how grand my ambitions are. Winning a life is far from being complimented by others.
When Bolt realized his ordinaryness, he was extremely low. Fortunately, there is the encouragement and enlightenment of the crazy hamster "rhino" and the stray cat "mittens". Rhino told him that as long as he believes in his own excellence and insists on doing the right thing, nothing is impossible. The "mittens" told him not to live for the eyes of others and to enjoy your own value. As long as you live happily, domestic dogs are more valuable than celebrity dogs.
The same is true for each of us, facing up to our own existence, affirming our own value and firm pursuit of confidence, rather than living for some illusory meaning and the eyes of others.
If we are destined to be ordinary, it is not any terrible thing. Enjoying life ordinary and happy, and making life full and fun is not the meaning of our life.
The combination of cats and dogs is also a very meaningful subversion, and it is another experience to appreciate life. For example, we used to think that America was a rotten imperialism and all the Japanese were rascals who distorted history. But when people grow up and learn to observe and think independently, they can always find the other side of the concept that we didn't know before.
Rather than all cats being enemies, and forming a deep friendship with cats, this is another very rewarding discovery of Bolt's travels.
In addition, the theme song of Lightning Dog is probably a revival of Disney animation music in recent years. We remember "The Lion King", "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", etc., and after 2000, I think maybe we also Will remember the theme song of "Lightning Dog".
Handy guitar, roaming music, like the dryness and freedom of the breeze on the journey. Besides, who can say that the lyrics of this song are not the ultimate answer to "Lightning Dog"?
Artist: Jenny Lewis
Song: Barking at the Moon
I have got so much to give, I swear I do.
I may not have nine lives, this one feels brand new.
Yes I've lived a good one.
I have tried to be true.
There are some things I never realized, till I met you.
How the wind feels on my cheeks, when I'm barking at the moon.
[chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you .
Well I was in trouble, bad.
I was so confused.
I may not see in color babe, but I sure can feel blue.
I have been a lot of things, they may not all be true.
My experience was so mysterious, till I met you.
Now the sun may rise in the east, but I'm barking at the moon.
[Chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got,
cuz that home belongs to you.
There is no home like the one you've got,
cuz that home belongs to you.
There is no home like the one you've got,
cuz that home belongs to you...
