Fantasy or delusion?

There are dense forests and waist-high grass everywhere in the film. These ubiquitous jungles almost make human beings have nowhere to escape. I really don't see how the ecology is out of balance.

However, many critics said that the film reflects the revenge of unbalanced nature on human beings. There are countless disaster films that describe similar revenge, and this film is ingenious from the perspective of plants revenge on humans. But is this fantasy or delusion?

The horror shots are achieved through bloody scenes, which is really inferior!

The Happening quotes

  • Elliot Moore: [notices a plant moving inside the house they'd intruded upon, slowly walks to it and begins speaking softly to it] Hello? My name is Elliot Moore. Just want to talk in a very positive manner, giving off good vibes. We're just here to use the bathroom, and then we're just going to leave. I hope that's OK.

    [feels the plant]

Elliot Moore: Plastic. I'm talking to a plastic plant.

    [pauses]

Elliot Moore: I'm still doing it.

  • Mrs. Jones: Planning on stealing something?

Elliot Moore: No, ma'am, we're not.

Mrs. Jones: Plan on murdering me in my sleep?

    Elliot Moore: What? No!
