As far as personal understanding is concerned, it should be a little girl's revenge. There are three worlds, the outer and inner worlds created by the little devil, and the real world where normal people live.
I can't tell you the specifics, but it should be said that it means something. Let me put it this way, from this movie I learned:
1. Maternal love is great. There may be dereliction of duty mothers, but maternal love is always noble and sacred. In the movie, the little devil (please allow me to call this poor, sad and a bit hateful little girl) has two mothers, one is his own mother (just that disgusting old woman with a very white face), the other is the protagonist Rose, these two people Obviously, the former is dereliction of duty but helpless, and the latter is dutiful but powerless. The mother is the god of the child, I think this is the reason why only Rose and the little devil her mother is still alive in the outer world at the end of the film.
2. Hate is terrible. The ghosts, blood, and ashes in the movie are all created by little devils. After being discriminated against, bullied, abandoned, and punished, the full of hatred and resentment turned into this perverted form, cruelly retaliate. The worst thing is that she also built a church, and faith is used as an excuse to give the foolish people a place to live, making them uneasy in fear and redemption. The little devil chooses to devour bit by bit to take revenge, which is really ruthless and BT.
3. There is retribution for doing evil. Thinking about it carefully, all the disgust and cruelty actually have a root. Those who were trapped in the outer and inner worlds turned a blind eye to what happened to the little devil. The lewd cleaner in the toilet is obviously a newspaper in the world, and he can see the crime in front of him from the posture of the toilet; the female leader who died the most is the teacher before the little devil, oh yo, that is the next The drizzling rain of blood was dismembered again, which is extremely disgusting~ This also reflects how he abused the little devil in front of him. This really tells us not to do bad things, especially not to bully children!
Finally, come to the evaluation.
First of all, I think that as a film, its expression is still a little lacking. I personally think that my comprehension ability is absolutely passable, but maybe I have never been in contact with games, so it took a lot of effort to understand. Movies need depth and something worth remembering, which is true in itself, but blindly pursuing depth can easily make people who understand it understand it, and people who don't understand it will never understand it in a lifetime. A good movie can benefit anyone, not just the sympathetic audience.
In terms of expression, as a horror film, I didn't feel fear or fear, but at most disgusting (my psychological ability is quite strong). This film actually has no ups and downs (personal opinion), because it involves three worlds, so it gives people the feeling of piecemeal patchwork, every time it seems to reach a climax, and immediately stops; If it is buried too deep, it takes a few times to look back to find it; or it is too obvious, and you can guess what will happen later. The film is quite obscure from beginning to end, I personally don't like this style, there is no sudden heartbeat. Maybe looking back on it will give you an aftertaste, but in general it's still a bit bland throughout the viewing process.
The last is the main point. I feel that the whole film should be about the twisted psychological struggle of the little devil. Maybe I haven't seen it too deeply, and I feel that it is not necessary to use such an exaggerated method to say the truth that I already know. Horror movies should give people a sense of horror in their hearts, or excavate people's potential inferiority, but apart from making me feel a little nauseated, the psychological shock of this movie is not too strong. Maybe it's not in line with my personal aesthetic.
Anyway, Silent Hill, a movie I've watched over and over and over and over again.
