Run, run, run, can you outrun fate?

The first time I watched "Lola Run" was in the art class of my first year of high school. It was my first exposure to non-commercial foreign films and also my first exposure to German films. After watching it at the time, I thought this movie was very entertaining and different from many movies I had seen before. Of course, the people of the world feel the same way as I do. In 1999, the film was a huge commercial success, and it did well at the box office all over the world, and I read on the Internet that a German had watched the film 60 times over and over. Why is "Luo" so attractive?
Let's take a look at the content of the video first.
Lola and Manny are a pair of young lovers, Manny is a little gangster who doesn't do a proper job, and Lola is a girl who believes that "big things are loved". One day, Manny completed a diamond transaction for the boss. Originally, he was going to meet Laura with a bag containing 100,000 marks, and then go to the place designated by the boss to pay the money, but Laura's bicycle was stolen, and the two Failed to meet. Manny had to take the subway to the designated place, but in the subway a beggar fell down in front of him, and the two policemen came towards Manny again. In a hurry, the timid Manny fled in a hurry. And the bag containing 100,000 marks was also dropped on the subway by him. When he realized it, the subway had already left. And there were 20 minutes left before Manny paid the money, so he had to call Lola for help. If Lola couldn't help him, he could only take the risk of robbing the supermarket. So, Lola started to run, for Manny, for love, for fate.
The director used a lot of animations, montages, and quick switching of shots (even a rude switch) throughout the film. The music was paired with heavy metal rock, and it blended fashionable elements such as games and MTV, making the whole film more enjoyable. The pace is so fast that it feels suffocating, but it's also fun and cool.
In the film, Lola ran 3 times, and there were 3 different results.
The first time: Lola failed to borrow money from her father, and the two robbed the supermarket together, and Lola was shot dead.
Second time: Lola steals money by threatening her dad, while Manny is hit and killed by an ambulance.
Third time: Lola wins 100,000 marks at the casino, Manny gets his original bag back, and the two become rich.
This movie also reminds me of Mozi's "Hero". It seems that the way of telling the story is a bit similar. They are all three stories, the same characters, and completely different results. But the themes presented are quite different.
During the three runs, Lola met a variety of people, and the director used a slideshow-style camera switch to express the fate of these characters later. While watching the movie, I felt like I was in a game. Lola, a character we controlled, started a journey through the level in order to complete the task of rescuing her boyfriend. The first two times we failed, and the last time we succeeded. I really like the director's way of expressing this, integrating game elements into the movie (because there is an adventure game with the heroine named Lola). It is the successful use of this technique that makes this film a great success. It's no wonder that the director was only 34 years old when he made this film. He grew up in the era of television, computers, games and MTV, the so-called "audio-visual generation".
And if you look closely at the details of these three runs, you'll find that Lola's choices have a butterfly effect causal link to these events. For example, the first time, Lola didn't want to take the ambulance, and the ambulance didn't hit the glass; the second time, because of Lola, the ambulance hit the glass, which directly led to Manny's death. Also, the driver was supposed to pick up Lola's father, but the first two times, he failed to pick up her father because of the crash, and Lola was able to see her father. The third time, the driver picked up her father, and Lola won 100,000 marks in the casino.
Everything seems to be an accident, but everything is karma.
The director completed the film with a series of gorgeous and complicated film expressions. On the surface, it seems to be about love, which is cool and fun, but "inadvertently" tells us a fact: people are small and insignificant before their fate. help.
Life is inherently impermanent. A wage earner spends 2 yuan and wins the grand prize of 5 million, while a lottery player with 10 years of lottery experience can only win 50 yuan at most; an American who has been struck by lightning three times in his life has not died. Recently I also heard that a lady was raped and killed by her brother-in-law and then was struck alive by lightning. God is like this, always doing the right thing with you, the more you want what you want, the less you can't get it, and the more you don't want to get, the more effortless it is to get it. On the other hand, some choices you make inadvertently will have a significant impact on your future days. There is a sentence in English: "What a does wil determine his fate." So each of us must make every choice carefully . It reminds me of Fugui's "If, If..." in the movie "Alive" by Mouzi in front of Fengxia's tomb. There are too many ifs in our life. The exam is so bad; if... real life is not allowed to have assumptions. So, choose carefully.
The seemingly fun and cool film tells a very profound truth.
Run Lola, why aren't we in real life rushing for life and our own destiny every day? But what should come will still come, can we outrun fate?
