Before I started to look at it, a question was always in my mind, what made a pirate who "do no evil" and "never tell the truth" be liked by people and remembered the name Jack Sparrow for a long time.
Perhaps he alone embodies multiple contradictions. There are many people's reflections in him and many things that people dare not do. This characteristic of both good and evil, like Tai Chi, comes back and forth, replacing the audience in the plot to accomplish what they want in another way. I don’t know the specific psychology of this. I only know that during the process of watching, I was involuntarily worried that Jack had done so-called "bad things" several times. This tension and the expectation of justice for him kept accumulating. Finally, after he solved the trouble beautifully, there was a kind of heartfelt comfort and joy. It might be a bit of a grandfather to say that, "I feel that he has not lived up to my expectations, and the people I believe are right." Whoever doesn't have a hero in his heart, when there is an image that gives the hero a carrier, even if he is a pirate who doesn't seem so reliable, he can still be the strong man upright. Even if he didn't make a smooth pass, or even walked to the brink of failure and death several times, this kind of pride to turn the tide is still an outlet for heroism. And it just so happens that this hero is different from the past, his tongue is slippery, he is still a little aggressive, he is a legend but he is ordinary, he looks like a rascal, but he can always come up with crazy and useful ideas.
This kind of uninhibitedness is flowing in the blood of his pirates, as well as plundering money and wandering the ocean. The ocean, this broader area is aspirational, and arouses the infinite ambition and fighting spirit of pirates. There are many stories in the mysterious ocean, and wind and waves will attack at any time. Such a dangerous and magical place will fight against nature, ships, and people at any time. It is also unknown in the sea, making pirates crazy about it. Even half-dead pirates did not stop. The life of a pirate is full of plunder and killing, and it is also full of fantasy.
