Other unrelated to the movie

I finished this movie.

Looking at Liu Ye's longing for a new life at the beginning, he found his own shadow in him.

Chinese students are always the dullest in the classroom, and they are always the most polite when teaching Chinese students. Just like the scene in the movie, we often mention in our chats with classmates that students in China are afraid to challenge teacher! We have been taught to respect teachers since childhood. Teachers always need to look up in our hearts!

In the first period of time, the most common words on the lips were, yes, thank you, and excuse me. I stumbled on a few keywords to communicate with Americans. After a while, we'll be sporadic with English words when speaking Chinese, even though your English is still not fluent at this point.

During the first period, we would be invited to learn English in the church and eat free food. We will be petty. Looking at the high-end cars speeding across the street, we will be jealous, and we will think when will we be able to live like this?

The murder case of Lu Gang was a case nearly twenty years ago. If it weren't for this film, it would have been a long-forgotten incident. China's study abroad boom has entered its 20th year since then. But no matter how time passes, it seems that all international students have similar experiences.

We hope to find a decent job, hope to get H1-B visa, hope to get green card, hope to live up to the training of parents, hope to let them live a good life.

I read Lu Gang's case again, and I think resistance is not necessarily unfortunate. When many Chinese condemned Lu Gang, I understood him in my heart and felt relieved for him. People who haven't experienced it will never be qualified to evaluate other people's lifestyles. These international students in the United States have very simple ideas, find a stable job, and have a place to rest. But this is such a simple wish that not everyone can achieve. Some people have been here for more than ten years and still rent an apartment, and some people have struggled for half their lives and still do not have a green card. Many people can't find a job and go back to China sadly.

In order to maintain legal status in the United States, we live cautiously and timidly. We have to abide by a lot of strict rules, such as having to find a job within 90 days of graduation. We dare not go home easily, for fear that we will never come back again. This is how life sometimes drives a person into a dead end! For the expensive living expenses and tuition fees, many proud people who used to be in China must lower their proud heads and live their lives in every possible way, seeing that the price is always multiplied by 7 in a conditioned reflex.

Countless sleepless nights passed GRE, TOEFL, completed the application, and got one of the few visas. We buried our loneliness and unwillingness, and moved forward in a stubborn way that seemed to have no future. The more I go, the more I realize that this is not the life I want, and the more I go, the more I realize that the American dream is not that simple!

Among these international students, not everyone can finally become Zhang Chaoyang, Zhou Yanhong, Zeng Zimo and Xu Xiaoping.

I saw some people on the Internet analyze that Lu Gang has type AB blood, so he has a potential murder motive. Pure bullshit logic. A person who is driven to a dead end, regardless of your blood type or zodiac sign. He just wanted to find a job as simple as that, but he was blocked in every way on the way.

Lu Gang is from Peking University. This reminds me that a week ago, a Chinese engineer in Silicon Valley shot and killed 3 colleagues in the office because he was fired. That company is right where I often pass by on the bus. The 47-year-old man named Wu Jinghua is from Tsinghua University. The oldest child is only six years old. In the small land of Silicon Valley, any Chinese you find may be from Peking University or Tsinghua University.

When our classmates in China are happily married and have stable incomes, we are still working hard for our future. Some people say this is what you asked for, yes, it's what we asked for, so we have to make a fool of ourselves. Here, we have no relatives or reasons, and we cannot use the favor of our parents to find relationships with our parents. This is a country that only believes in strength and has no human feelings. When all the domestic students are above the level of the director and minister, we can only be an IT migrant worker here!

This is written to all the international students and to myself. I want to say that I am proud of your strength and perseverance.

We must face our future with a more rational attitude!
