The beginning of time is when Gandhi launched his campaign of non-violent non-cooperation in South Africa until his death. After watching this film, I realized that Pakistan and India were originally one family (and added some historical knowledge). I always thought that a genius and a lunatic are actually the same, but a genius will be more rational and will try to control himself, while a lunatic can't. When we do things and live according to the logic of most people, it also means that you will only have an ordinary life, coming and going silently in the long river of history.
The appearance of Gandhi is both accidental and inevitable in history (as Marx said), and the person who appeared by accident is called Gandhi, and it is inevitable that such a person will inevitably appear. Seeing the difficulty of Gandhi just starting his movement in South Africa, I thought of the speech given by the protagonist of "Scent of a Woman" at the end: "When I stand at the crossroads of my life, I know what way to go. That's right, but I know it's too difficult to take this road." Facing a series of difficulties, Gandhi showed his courage and walked on bravely, but the difficulties and tribulations on this road are very important to us. We can never experience it, we are happy for him and sad for him, but we are always just onlookers one by one.
The British did not defeat India, but were defeated by their own people. This also confirms the old saying: "Fortresses are always breached from within!"
