Deep in the mud

Honestly, I was completely shocked and excited by this movie.
The beginning of the movie gave me a false impression - this is probably a heartwarming movie (without reading the synopsis). So without any psychological preparation, people continue to die, and the way of dying is different...
1. The first man was thrown into the septic tank and drowned (this is the most disgusting and pitiful way to die) ), before he was knocked unconscious by a vase.
2. The pastor's wife was struck by an axe and then killed by a car.
3. The pastor was shot in the head by his wife and was shot three times. It is conceivable that he may not have died when he was in the first robbery.
4. The male policeman was knocked unconscious by a stone, and then he broke his neck when he fell and hit the toilet. (Before he died, he was poured a lot of alcohol. You can imagine that Zhu Qian liked this trick very much.)
5. Garth was beaten to death by the fat old man, but he was shot in the thigh before that.
6. The fat old man was forced to eat a lot of sugar and then fell ill and died, but he was injured by a needle before.
7. Charlie, drank poisonous wine.
8. The dying: "The Oregon Massacre" and "The Wyoming Widow."

From their deaths, we can see that each person was injured to varying degrees before dying, and then died in different ways.
And Charlie seems to have died unscathed (but he just had no external "wounds", and could actually be said to be terminally ill), why? He was someone who felt guilty from beginning to end and wanted to turn himself in. When he saw Jesus weeping, he even knelt there with a pious face. Of course, the fact was that it was water that leaked from the upper floor, but the pious scene was still impressive. This scene was probably a hint: looking at you. While the others faced the corpse with excitement and no guilt, not only that, but each of them had a terribly poor record:
Garth hardly ever told the truth, and while his lies were constantly debunked by Charlie, he Not even Garth, that's just a pseudonym. It can be seen that he is still a competent pickpocket from the fact that he took the documents from the fat old man. Who knows if he was jailed for fraud.
Pastor: I like to watch Lolita take off her clothes - she is a pedophile, and she even made 2 million by making strange movies. As for how the movie was shot, whether it was really hacking people with a chainsaw, it's hard to say, maybe it was done with a real person, because Charlie vomited when he saw the picture. It can be seen that his crimes are huge, not to mention that he is a clergyman.
Pastor's Wife: Betrayal, killed her husband, attempted elopement.
Mistress of Pastor's Wife: Wife of a prostitute, attempted murder.
Male police officer: Willing to give them false evidence in order to save their lives. (Also, he mentions that Charlie's wife can hardly stay away from him, maybe wanting to do something wrong to her?) It seems that his crime was just to protect himself, but this is against the integrity of a policeman, of course, to survive Instinct is natural, so he fell to his own death, not homicide.
The fat old man is more injustice, and the typical evening festival is not guaranteed. They are all old and suddenly out of balance, doing such unethical things, and killing people.
At the end of the film we guess that the old man is the "Oregon Massacre", he has been running through the film review but appeared at the end, so we can meet him and the "Wyoming Widow". There will be a showdown, so what will it be? Did he drink poisoned wine or was Zhu Qian tortured to death? Imagine such a scene - "The Oregon Massacre" admiring the dying girl who was about to die and was tortured with satisfaction, took the wine can found from the girl, and slowly unscrewed it. He smiled and watched silently as he poured the wine into his mouth... The

last question: is Charlie dead or not. This question doesn't seem to make sense. Because he drank poisonous wine and died on the ground, maybe Zhu Qian has disposed of his body.
But I have some doubts.
At the end of the film, Charlie's daughter is at home, playing in the money pile. Tried the phone but no one answered. Where is Charlie's police wife? Why would she leave her daughter at home alone?
Back to Charlie and his party leaving the police station: Charlie offered to take his daughter back. Isn't it obviously strange here, Charlie should know that he is still in danger, and he has to deal with the corpse, who would take his precious daughter to deal with the corpse and put her in danger. His request was rejected by his wife. But this paragraph is really strange, why did Charlie do this. Perhaps this is a hint. A hint to his wife. The policeman's wife once said without hesitation that if Charlie committed a crime, she would arrest him, but when she saw her colleague's police badge, she chose to throw it over, indicating that she acquiesced to Charlie. So, is it possible that Charlie pretended to drink poisoned wine and waited for his wife's rescue. In addition, when Zhu Qian hitched a ride on the highway, she said that it would be better and better to get out of here. Why did she want to leave in such a hurry, was it because she was in a bad mood after disposing of the corpse? But it was more like she was trying to escape something, perhaps trying to escape Charlie's wife?
In short, my guess is only because I don't want to accept the fact that he died, but because I think that he wants to live a happy family life so much, that his daughter is so lovely, and he died even though he was about to succeed, and his book was able to publish him. The unpleasant thought of not having to do this operation at all and so on made me unable to accept his death.

Having said that, Charlie has been wanting to quit but is getting deeper and deeper. From the first time he was out of the police station by the pastor, he wanted to leave until he left the police station, and he had to leave by himself again (but this time he had already lost his wallet...)

In addition, the most ironic thing is that the end of the movie The call from: Charlie is going to join this crime entirely because he wants money, because he decides his book can't be published and has to figure out something else. However, this is the phone call from the publishing house... When
Gass asked him to choose whether to join or not, he said that once he joined, he could not quit. It really was a road of no return. Countless coincidences made him unable to choose, and the more he fell, the more deep.
All in all, this movie is great.
