But whatever happens, please don't think less of me

It was the first time in the second grade of the second grade that I watched the movie with an appointment. Now seven or eight years have passed. Recalling that night, I feel my heart is still excited.
The image of General Hammer played by Ed Harries is my favorite movie character so far. The one-man show in the first 3 minutes is really cool, and the phrase "But whatever happens, please don't think less of me" is classic. The qualities of a good man are almost perfect in him: tenacity, self-confidence, profoundness, and open-mindedness.
The scene of the sunset reflecting the red bay is intoxicating.

I watched this stuff in 1998, and I can recite the lines without missing a word.

The golden combination of old 007+Cage+Ed Harris, plus the theme of heroism, is a masterpiece of honest American scenes + action films. What impressed me most about the movie was Sean Connery's on-screen charisma, and when he appeared on stage, the handsome Cage was also overshadowed!

The Rock quotes

  • John Mason: [to Hummel] I have a unique knowledge of this prison facility. I was formerly a guest here.

  • Stanley Goodspeed: [sarcastically to Mason] You know, I like history too, and maybe when this is all over you and I can stop by the souvenir shop together but right now I just... I just wanna find some rockets!
