The Pearl is Dangerous

I have to admit, this film was almost buried by the typical bad name and bad poster. I watched this film in a broken mood when there was no film to watch, and I didn't have any expectations or expectations for this film at all. But from the unique atmosphere created by this film at the beginning, I vaguely felt that this was a good film, but I didn't expect to bring me such great surprise and joy.
The male pig is the product of a playful young man and a troubled princess ONS. An ordinary boy who fell in love with the most beautiful girl in town. He lost his job for her, spent all his savings to please her, and vowed to bring back the fallen star as a birthday present for her. The female pig is a squeamish, confused and ignorant star. When she was thinking about her own affairs, she was knocked down to the world by the magic necklace of the old king of the Storm Fortress.
After dark, the powerful witch wanted to win the heart of the female pig to restore her youth and beauty; while the old king of Stormwind Fortress used the magic necklace on the female pig as a token of which prince to succeed.
What makes people laugh is that the ghost sons of the old king of Stormwind Fortress are constantly thinking about it. Whenever another prince is killed and joins them, it always makes people laugh.
Michelle Pfeiffer sacrificed a lot this time, and the appearance of aging and horror makes people shudder, but the appearance of youth and beauty makes people almost feel that she is 50 years old. But it can't help but remind people of the phrase "beautiful people are like famous generals since ancient times, and white heads are not allowed to appear in the world". It seems that many female devils are trying to stay young. This is the case with the three witch sisters, and so is Bloody Mary.
It's also interesting that Robert De Niro's famously murderous but actually kindly GAY captain enters his house nervously when Prince Septimus hears about his reputation, only to find him dancing in a woman's floral dress.
Xingxing and male pig always make people laugh together, male pig is a little silly, and Xingxing is very squeamish and confused. When they used the flying candles to escape, the two were confused and ended up flying into the clouds. Who would be together if such a pair were not together.
This film beat several invincible films in my mind and became the first.

The person who catches thunder and lightning is transformed into a human star. The original work is rich in imagination, and the film expression is not bad.

Stardust quotes

  • Septimus: [briefing his men] Now remember Captain Shakespeare has a fearsome reputation.

[cuts to scenes of Captain Shakespeare painting a heart on his face and then dancing to the Can Can, dressed in a frock and a feather boa, intertwined with scenes of Septimus's men attacking Shakespeare's crew only to get overpowered]

Septimus: [enters the cabin and sees the Captain in drag] What the hell is this?

  • Yvaine: You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn't true. I know a lot about love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain, lies, hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves... You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I'm trying to say, Tristan is... I think I love you. Is this love, Tristan? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me any more. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it, I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no gifts. No goods. No demonstrations of devotion. Nothing but knowing you loved me too. Just your heart, in exchange for mine.
