Said the movie "Noir" because there is no positive character in the ordinary sense. As the main characters of the police officers, Ed Exley (played by Gapierce) wants to climb up; Jack Vincens (Kay Wenshi Paixi) In order to appear on TV, he only takes the limelight; Budwhite (Russell Crowe) has a rude temperament and only believes in violence and punishment; Team Leader Smith (James Cromwell) is on the surface amiable and caring about his subordinates. In fact, it is the big black hand behind the scenes, trying to eat black and white.
As a police film, it is interesting to begin with: police officers are introduced in detail one after another, but no bad guy is introduced.
At the end of the film, we realized that these police officers are enough to constitute the main body of the story. There are no standardized police officers who defend justice, but there are real gangsters.
I like the first half of this movie the most. The dialogue is so well written, the words are brilliant, fighting spirit and courage plus humor. The personality of each character is very distinct, especially the three protagonists, the police, the level of personality is expanded a little bit, but the extra level is not strong enough to overwhelm the main tone set before, although the level is clear, it still has outstanding characteristics.
The rhythm of the film is also very good. At first, all the puzzles are unbuckled as the plot develops, but it is slow and orderly and never impatient.
