They used to be brothers

This is one of the masterpieces of the World War II movie. Although it is a TV series, it is filmed in the same way as a movie. Almost every episode can be taken out as an independent movie. It is the work of the Big Three in Hollywood: Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Lucas.

Although it is a war movie, there are not many scenes directly describing the war. Using Company E as a clue, we traveled through the famous battles and important scenes of World War II. There are many characters involved in the film, but the characters are very successful, and they can basically be seated. There are not too many sensational scenes, especially the kind of speech scenes that Hollywood is accustomed to, just use the performance of small people on the battlefield to express silent accusations of war. Especially in every episode, there is almost a character who disappears in the war, whether it is the American or German army, life is fleeting in a blink of an eye. In one episode, unclaimed clothes were used in the laundry room to suggest to the audience that their owners had gone with the wind in this protracted war. In the face of war, life is so fragile.

Then it is such a fragile life, but it contains a lot of human brilliance, including respect for life.

In fact, we also have many classic battles, especially those against Vietnam and the War of Resistance against U.S. Aid Korea, which are worth remembering by our filmmakers. Unfortunately, our main theme seems to have forgotten them. The loyal bones are buried in the green hills, and hope that war will never come again.

Band of Brothers quotes

  • Sgt. Alton More: I'm guessing they were Hitler's photo albums, sir. Sure had a lot of pictures of him in it.

Ronald Spiers: So, you looked at 'em, but you didn't take 'em?

Sgt. Alton More: That's right, sir.

Ronald Spiers: I don't believe you! I'll be watching you. You're dismissed.

    [as Moore leaves, smirking]

Ronald Spiers: You'd better not be lying to me.

  • Ronald Spiers: What?

SSgt. Floyd 'Tab' Talbert: Sir, if it's not going to put you in too much of a bind, I'd like to resign as company First Sergeant. If I had my choice, I miss being back amongst the men. I'd be happy to go to as Staff Sergeant, whichever platoon you want to put me in.

Ronald Spiers: Well, I guess you've earned your right to demote yourself.

SSgt. Floyd 'Tab' Talbert: Thank you, sir.

Ronald Spiers: You wanna take over Sergeant Grant's platoon?

SSgt. Floyd 'Tab' Talbert: That would do fine, sir.

Ronald Spiers: Alright then, report to Lieutenant Peacock. Let me know if he gives you any trouble.

SSgt. Floyd 'Tab' Talbert: Oh, sir? You make your decision yet?

    Ronald Spiers: Yeah, I did.
