The first American drama I ever watched

I remember when I was a freshman in high school, the Chinese Channel of Satellite TV at that time would put on an episode every Sunday night. That was one of the few pleasures of my boring high school career.

I love this kind of drama that explores outer space and unknown worlds. To this day I still think Agent Mort is my favorite type of man. Handsome, smart, meticulous, persistent. But sometimes it's a little confusing. Spooky Mulder, lol.

Another bright spot is that screenwriter Chris Carter didn't fall into the stereotype and let Detective Scully and Detective Mort fall in love and become a partner in the couple class. Instead, the two have their own positions and cooperate with each other in handling the case. Feelings, it was not until the ninth season that more films were used to describe them.

The opening song also has to be mentioned. In my mind, this opening song is synonymous with thrill and excitement. Every time I hear it, I think of Agent Mulder's face and his "I want to believe".

I think both male and female lead are good looking. The opening music is well done. A collection of whole government conspiracy theories. There are a few episodes of the script that do make a movie, and the open ending is so scary.

Originally wanted to give 4 stars, but why don't you always turn on the lights and always carry a flashlight with you? And some of the episodes don't need to happen at night at all. I know it's suspense, but is it living in the last days without electricity? Have to deliberately use dark scenes to create atmosphere on unnecessary occasions?

The X-Files quotes

  • Mulder: We've both lost so much... but I believe that what we're looking for is in the X-Files. I'm more certain than ever that the truth is in there.

Scully: I've heard the truth, Mulder. Now what I want are the answers.

  • Mulder: If coincidences are coincidences, why do they feel so contrived?
