At least, better than expected

Anyone who has read the original book will say that "Yellow" is not good, and the North American box office is also bleak, but for someone like me who doesn't know "the past", it's not bad.

Of course, it doesn't have the majestic momentum of "The Lord of the Rings", but the armored bear is endearing. As for Nicole Kidman, it's a perfect fit for the wise, vicious, self-righteous Snow White stepmother. Only Daniel Krezer has too few appearances (or too many cuts from the mainland), and his image is not full enough, and he is still 007 in a trance.

The plot is pretty tight, and there is no end to it. It would be a shame if there is no sequel.

Baby Bear did a good job, but the background and plot of the story didn't appeal to me. Maybe the story has just begun. Will watch the sequel

I just watched it for Nicole, I can't stand the fact that foreigners like it and don't write the ending for the next episode~囧

The Golden Compass quotes

  • Lee Scoresby: That's a mighty fancy clockwork you got there.

Lyra Belacqua: [puts away the alethiometer] It's just a toy.

Lee Scoresby: Well, then, it's a mighty fancy toy. How'd you come by somethin' like that.

Hester: Oh, Lord, Lee when you gonna learn to mind your own business?

  • Lord Asriel: [as she slaps the glass of wine down to the floor] Lyra!

    Lyra Belacqua: It's poisoned.

    Lord Asriel: Nonsense.

Lyra Belacqua: It ain't nonsense. I saw that man from the magisterium pour some powder into the wine.

Lord Asriel: [looks down and heard voices] Go back in there. Keep your eyes open and your mouth shut. Go on.
