Since it is a remake, it is inevitable to compare it with Japan. The biggest difference lies in the ending. As far as the mother's consciousness has left this result, she clearly tells the audience that there is no need to think about it and there is no other possibility. Whether or not the mother uses her daughter's body to do it with her father is very vague. The director wants to express the relationship between mother and daughter rather than the ethics and morality of the original work.
