Whether it is true or fantasy, magic or deceit, conspiracy or revenge, this is a film about freedom, and it is only shown on the stage of magic. The protagonist’s desire has never changed, as long as he disappears into the dark and unequal world with his favorite person and starts a new life in the new world. This is also the reason why the film is in gray and black tones, and the sun is shining until the end-they are finally free. Everything the magician did was to be with her, from when he returned to Vienna, from when he gave her the necklace, from when he knew her...The theme of the film is freedom and love, but in the final analysis Still free. . .
