Weak because of lack of faith

Last night, I finally watched the long-awaited "Prince Caspian" - "The Chronicles of Narnia". Read the novel before. "Doing homework" with Xiao Xia, urging each other to read before the movie was released, I read the English version, he read the French version. Before entering the theater, we both knew what to expect.

After coming out of the theater, after a night of thoughts and dreams, I gradually understood the intention of the screenwriter. Or, my own understanding.

Before the four brothers and sisters in the novel were recalled to Narnia by the horn from the train station, there was no fight between Peter and other children, no help from Edmund, and of course, there was no admiration for Susan by the little boys on the newsstand. . When they return to Narnia, an entire chapter is devoted to their search for the past and food in their former castle. They then rescued the dwarf Trumpkin, who devoted another chapter to Prince Caspian's backstory. Peter and his party, led by Trumpkin, took several more chapters on the road to rendezvous with Prince Caspian, and on the way they lost confidence that Lucy had seen Aslan. After a few accidents, they followed the lead of Lucy, who was pure in heart and believed in Eslan, so that they saw Eslan one after another - Edmund the second, Peter the third, Susan and Dwarf last. When they arrived at Caspian's station, it was a critical moment. The wizard brought by the black dwarves was about to call out the white witch, and Caspian and others in the cave fought against them. Peter and Edmund joined in time to kill the black dwarves and wizards. Peter's self-introduction was simple and confident: "I am the High King, I am not here to take your throne, but to Help you to take the throne." The battle after that was not so hard, they had seen Aslan, and they were confident of defeating the enemy. At the end of the story they have to go back to London, the school uniforms they will wear have been prepared for them, and they leave Narnia through the door that Ashlan made out of thin air.

Movies are another description.

Peter believed he was strong enough to take on the other boys who challenged him. When Edmund saw his brother being bullied, he did not hesitate to help, but Peter accused him. Peter said conceitedly, I can handle it alone, and I don't need your help. And when Susan met someone on the newsstand who fell in love with her, she was always a little smug and unwilling to show it—she paid more attention to the things of the world.

Go back to Narnia and find Caspian. They became weak. Peter had no confidence and thought he could only rely on himself. And he and Caspian, more like two immature children, were even arguing over who should listen to whom at critical moments. And this is what allows the black dwarf to take advantage of the loophole. He and the two wizards even call out the white witch, and the ceremony is only a drop of blood from the Son of Adam. The magic of the White Witch was irresistible, Caspian couldn't resist, and Peter arrived, but couldn't resist either. At this moment, the ice wall where the White Witch appeared was suddenly cut off, just like the wand in the hands of the White Witch in the first movie - Edmund smashed the ice wall with a sword from behind, and the ice shattered and reappeared. Statue of Eslan on the wall. "I know you can win without me," Edmund said.

Only Lucy always believed in Aslan. She was a weak girl, but she always showed firmness and strength. She believed that she had seen Aslan with her own eyes, rather than "thinking" that she had seen Aslan. Edmund had betrayed, but he always fought with faith because of Eslan's salvation. From the fact that he jumped from the roof behind his back when he was cornered in the attack on Miraz Castle, he did so by faith alone.

After going through the White Witch incident, Peter also understood that he must return to Eslan, and only by believing in Eslan can he win. He handed over the task of finding Aslan to Susan and Lucy, and returned to the battlefield with the confidence that Aslan would come. He was no longer weak. Lucy finally found Aisi Lan or, more precisely, when Lucy to find Aisi Lan, Ai Silan came before her -. "Seek shall find, see"

bridge, the powerful army Stopped suddenly, just because Lucy appeared. She smiled and reached for the scabbard, pulling out only a small dagger. But she is invincible, because the one who appeared beside her was Eslan, the creator of Narnia. The battle was no longer necessary at this point, Aslan's roar awakened the river god, and the wave swept away one of the generals who killed Miraz. After the wicked die, the wicked will not end well in the end.

The twisted trees at the end of the film separate to form a door, which is a good idea, more imaginative than a door appearing out of nowhere. There are some very good places in the whole film, in fact, it is more to highlight the characters. Peter fights without asking for help, advocates a sneak attack on the castle, and accuses Caspian of sabotaging the plan, all of which show his stubbornness, and hesitating before the White Witch is also out of weakness; Susan has never been confident, and what she pays more attention to is Prince Caspian , This is because she places too much emphasis on personal charm; Edmund always helps in times of crisis, forbearance and prudence, and trusts her brothers, sisters and companions wholeheartedly, smart but not chaotic; Lucy is simple and kind, firm full of confidence. The White Witch section also highlights the weak side of human nature. Although it is very different from the original, I have no objection. As for the sneak attack on the castle, it even more highlighted that Peter and the others, because they lacked confidence, fought completely by their own strength, and the result could only be failure and a heavy price. Of course, Caspian's teacher in the original book wasn't jailed either, so it's understandable to put him in jail for the sneak attack.

The downside is the portrayal of the Narnia Aboriginal people. The images of dwarves, talking animals, tauren, centaurs, etc. do not seem to be as vivid as in the first film, but more like the monsters in "Lord of the Rings", which is far from imagination. If it is to fight for the freedom of this "monster", it seems that the persuasion is not strong enough. Moreover, in the film, it is actually quite good to have a fairy tale-style map at the right time, so that the audience can have a general understanding, which will be more conducive to "telling" the story. Sometimes I feel that if these stories are done in the form of cartoons, maybe they will look better, even if they are serials, I will watch them. As for this film, I decided to give it 4 stars as recognition. I don’t know if it will continue to be filmed. If so, which story will the next film be? The Voyage of the Dawn Treader?

Ah why do I think it looks so good! That bear completely attracted me. Not only did he start to stand and applaud the cute to death, it was too cute to be scared and put his little hand in his mouth! And the little girl finally smiled and pulled out a knife that couldn’t be smaller, and Poseidon, the god of the sea, came, everyone was locked up in the castle and said let’s go. Don’t care about the smiles we all said, and the inexplicable ones. love! How exciting! ! The song is also nice~

I don't know the first episode of this movie, but I actually went to watch the second episode. If there is no brother Tao who will explain to me, I really can't understand it. The plot is average, but the execution of the Americans is not acceptable.
