jealous. RF put JJ in a position as important as faith when he was a child. He was young then, so he tried to imitate it. Jealousy grows in imitation, intentional or unintentional. When he said that JJ was just an ordinary person, he seemed to see JJ's death.
Is he timid by nature? No. When he raised his gun at Wood, it was a determined look. Compared to the older brother who would cry under the moon, he was much braver. Fear of being betrayed and coveting the bounty might also be a good excuse to hide his jealous and hateful eyes.
He aspires to replace JJ's position in people's hearts, and he hopes to gain people's long-term admiration, not strong and short attention, nor a role that is ridiculed by the audience. His jealousy made him simply think that just by assassinating JJ, he could take everything from him. He is selfish. Never regret the sins committed. Perhaps he would only think about another possibility when he gradually found that things were not going the way he wanted. He can never be the person he expects, because what he always cares about is not himself, but his image in the hearts of others.
I like this character very much, just like Ah Q in Lu Xun's writings, he directly reflects a part of everyone's character, especially when people are under the aura of a big man, they are envious at first, then jealous, and then hate.
The last thing I want to say is that I didn't directly see the kind of fiery light sung in JJ's singing, at least the film did not try to exaggerate this, but I think, maybe you can like me from RF jealous eyes Picture the image of the hero of the rogue.
