This is a cruel story. Mo Yan, the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, once said that the function of literature should not be used for praise, but to expose the dark side of society and human nature. This film is such a work, which is different from other works of Villeneuve. It tells the story in a grand way, but focuses on the family and goes deep into the belief and the nation. The religions and nations that were supposed to promote the harmony of mankind have become the origin of separation, slaughter, and evil among mankind. What has become scorched is not just a city, but also the destruction of humanity and human relations. The development of the whole film is a two-line time. The mothers of the past and the children of the present are driven by suspenseful plots, not attractive by magnificent scenes. The plot develops more and more cruelly, and the cruelty at the end is extreme. In despair, the mother in the play said: She has no resentment, the most beautiful thing in the world is to be together! Let people be loved and bring bright hope. This is the high point of Villeneuve's purpose.
