never give up your sincerity

"City Lights" Chaplin's comedy has a very special mildness, which is different from the thrill of belly laughter, but understands the humor. Statues that symbolize prosperity but a sleeping homeless man, a rich man who is different sooner or later, a policeman who unfairly investigates and judges, and a newspaper boy who plays tricks on the homeless... Social criticism is presented softly as a matter of course in the plot. The love and kindness of the tramp is the light of the city, he seeks compromise in these darkness and finally brings the light to the girl he likes. The end of the movie is a relatively happy ending. Perhaps a person's situation is difficult to change, but at least we can identify with the most noble quality in him. Much of the film covers the soundtrack, Chaplin's body language and facial expressions are witty, exaggerated and funny, and his eyes at the meeting at the end are excellent. As a love movie from ninety years ago, it recorded some of the existence of life. I wrote in the film review of one of my favorite films, "Oasis": "Fortunately, there are some people whose love is the echo of one soul to another, who are numb to the absurdity of the world and never give up on themselves. Sincerely." I think that's the conclusion of the story. "Tomorrow the birds will sing."
