Ask two questions:
One, you and a stranger can only have one person who can survive, do you choose whether you die or he dies?
Second, only one of your family members and a stranger can survive. Do you choose the death of the family member or the death of the stranger?
I choose the latter.
You can call me indifferent, but I don't think I'm selfish.
Kindness is not purely based on impulsive psychological satisfaction, nor is it an element of self-satisfaction.
Kindness is an instinctive reaction, not a meaningless self-sacrifice. As Wang Xiaobo said: "Of course I want to be kinder, but this kindness should be caused by my becoming smarter, not the other way around."
There is a cloud, excessive kindness is the greatest evil.
But given a choice between protecting myself and my family, I tend to choose the latter.
