Why two lives for one life

I've heard of it a long time ago, but only watched it last night, huh. What I like more is that the warm rivalry between Denzel and the little girl is a bit like Leon and that little girl in "This killer is not too cold". However, few movies can surpass the latter, I think. Man on Fire is just good.

I don’t like revenge. I can’t help it, just this sex.

What I don't quite understand is why Denzel had to exchange two lives for one in the end. The black boss named "Voice" didn't make this request either. Besides, Dan was holding two or three hostages (one of them was a pregnant woman), why did he have to take himself in?

In addition, Dan was very strong, was shot in the chest, and held it all the time. In my opinion, he can find a place to stop the bleeding first with the hostages in his hands-even if it is an OK stretch, then he can "deal".

I can’t understand these two points. Maybe I’m a real lover, maybe the film is a bit anxious to watch.

But I won’t watch it a second time, I don’t have time.

Man on Fire quotes

  • Fuentes: [with both his hands tied to the hood of the car] You know, I-I'm a professional.

Creasy: That's what everybody keeps saying. "I'm just a professional". Everybody keeps saying that to me. "I'm just a professional", "I'm just a professional". I'm getting sick and tired of hearing that.

  • Manzano: Mariana?

    Mariana: Sí.

Manzano: When do I get to sleep with you again?

Mariana: We never sleep. We fuck.
