Two stars are not too many, three stars are not too few, and four stars are a bit floating.
This is my first time writing a movie review, so I'm not used to it. I used to kneel down before writing.
Saying this is a killer movie is a bit of a waste of bullets used in the play. Saying this is a suspense film is a bit of a waste of Uncle An's acting skills. Oh, this is a fucking literary film.
Someone wrote it, and the title is "Virtuoso", which is meant to be a master of rhythm. Watching a professional killer kill someone, click a quasi-hey, it's all counted in seconds. But I feel that this is just the first layer. One level down, this master refers to Uncle An, the rhythm of the master cutting leeks, that is quite accurate.
The name is Master, and it is obviously a story about a killer; it is called Dog Training, and it is a story about butchering a dog.
Who is the dog? It's the pair of killer dog men and women who roll sheets at the motel. The dog trainer is our old Uncle An.
It can be seen that Uncle An is a ruthless character. First, he is old enough, which means that he has been in this industry for a long time and rarely overturns the boat. Second, he can mobilize a lot of killers, and he can put a cell phone in a row on the table, which proves that he has abundant resources. Third, he is cruel and ruthless. For a brother who is born to death, if he wants to kill his son, he will kill his son. It is not ambiguous at all.
The great thing about Uncle An's character is that he doesn't control his killer through material things, contracts, mental brainwashing, or anything else. The relationship between him and his killer was sometimes simple: giving instructions and paying; sometimes it was complicated: comforting like a confidant sister, teaching earnestly like an elder. The killers cultivated in this way will have a characteristic, that is, they are separated from the instrumentality and more like a complete person. A killer as a person is more creative than a killer as a tool. This is not acceptable.
This brings harmony to the way the story is told in the first person.
You see, I am an individual, an independent person, a free person, a person with a will.
Movies are showing this beautiful scene everywhere.
This dog killer lives alone, has strict self-discipline, and is cautious about external contacts. Everything is neat and tidy, showing the director's unique aesthetic of violence (these four words can't be written on one's knees).
In this violent aesthetic, there is an abrupt setting. It's that dog.
The white dog who always only begged for dog food in front of him, but never walked around him, wagging his tail and begging for pity.
The white dog, with its monotonous running style, repetitive scene shots and consistent narration method, is telling us that it is not a dog, it is a symbol. Oh no, tell us, not only is it a dog, but the male killer is the same dog.
What the film expresses is that the freedom you think is only in your imagination.
We don't know when Uncle An started to kill the male killer, but the dialogue at the cemetery must have made him sure of his thoughts: if this dog is not eliminated, it will bring disaster to its master.
In the last part of the film, the dialogue between the male and female killers is very interesting. The woman said, the old man told me to send you a happy journey. (snack with you) This is my choice. In fact, the male killer also broke the identity of the woman, and took out a loaded bullet, and the woman missed the first shot. The man said with an idiotic face, I let you make a choice. The woman chooses a headshot. The narrative method of the film immediately changes to the first person of the female killer.
This shows that the days are always passing, and the leeks are being cut one by one, but it is always the same group of people who cut the leeks.
This is a tragic story: man is born free, but everywhere he is on a leash.
Oh yes, what breed are you?
