Is your persistence worth it?

The recent international hot spot is of course "Afghanistan". After the US withdrawal, the Taliban made a comeback and quickly seized power and established the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

wow, Afghanistan is worthy of being the "cemetery of empires". After many years, the word "Taliban" came out again.

Speaking of the Taliban, one would think of the father of terror, bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda.

He orchestrated numerous terrorist attacks around the world, notably the 9/11 attacks in 2001, which killed more than 3,000 people in the United States. After that, the U.S. government vowed to kill bin Laden no matter where it is, and he fought against the U.S., while continuing to make terrorist attacks, he often sent videos to prove that he was alive and well.

If I didn't live in this era, it would be hard to believe that reality is really like a drama, and it is a thriller:

"The Hunt for Bin Laden"

The beginning of the film is the prison sentence scene, the audience watched from the perspective of the heroine Maya, and experienced the same mental journey as her.

1. Hell on Earth

Maya is a female CIA agent sent to Pakistan to find bin Laden.

When she saw the tortured al-Qaeda members, she couldn't help but turn her head and close her eyes.

The man was waterboarded and suffered great agony before drowning;

That person was deprived of sleep for a full 96 hours;

The man was treated with the greatest contempt of Muslims, looked at by women, and was put on a leash;

The man was stuffed into a small confined space, ruthlessly destroying the will.

The man turned to begging Maya, who was on the sidelines, and Maya restrained the softness in her heart and asked him to explain it honestly.

Even so, he did not explain the time of the next terrorist attack until the next explosion occurred and many innocent people died.

The interrogations conveyed the perverted beliefs of these villains and the anxiety and revenge of the United States.

As a matter of fact, the torturers are miserable, and the torturers also bear a great psychological burden.

One of Maya's colleagues couldn't take it anymore. He said that he wanted to come out of hell and go back to the world to see. And Maya is still holding on.

2. Scarred

In the past few years of the investigation, she has no time to make friends, fall in love, and live a normal life.

In the camera, she is often eating while working, or meditating while eating.

Occasionally gathering with colleagues, but encountering a terrorist attack, she saw the hot flames and the collapsed crowd after the big explosion.

Until, they have another clue. A base doctor surrendered to them, and the colleague flew thousands of miles to the military base in Afghanistan. A colleague personally made a cake for the man and brought a bonus of 25 million.

The day of waiting at the military base was so long, the wind and sand were rolling, and the face changed color. When a white car in the telescope came galloping along the desert sand road, everyone had a great joy and relief, as if a marathon was about to arrive, a storm was about to pass, and a preparation After a long examination, I finally got a satisfactory score.

Colleagues have tears in their eyes. After so many years, they are finally getting close to their goal. After completing the task, they can make a confession to the innocent lives lost in the terrorist attack, and they can finally go home.

Maya is also silently looking forward to it in her Pakistani office.

However, the bomb went off again. The so-called base doctor who pretended to surrender was actually a human bomb, and seven CIA agents died.

Her colleague who made the cake, with tears in her eyes, expecting to finish the task, is the mother of three children.

Maya collapsed, but she still held on, and she was more determined. When the prisoner was interrogated again, she no longer had lingering fears. (I no longer feel sympathy for those people as a viewer.)

She looked sharply at the prisoner, she directed the torture, she angrily used words to oppress the other!

Even if he was assassinated,

Even if the leadership has been shaken,

She still did not give up at all, and the matter of "hunting bin Laden" was her life.

3. Fight hard

A suspected trace of bin Laden emerges - a high-end residence in Pakistan. The whole house is shrouded in an unusual atmosphere, where bin Laden's messengers come and go, and the residents here are mysterious.

The doors and windows on the third floor of the house were closed, and there was one person who hardly stayed at home. Even if he came out occasionally to breathe, he stood under the grape trellis and did not show his face.

Their domestic waste is directly incinerated, and even the excrement is diluted layer by layer.

identity has not been confirmed.

America, dare not act rashly.

Such a situation is not what Maya wants to see, because "delay" means "missing", after all, she worked hard for this day

Eight years!

During the meeting, she dared to shout "100%" in the face of everyone's prudent protection, and she was not afraid of taking the blame.

In the face of the leader's question, she rushed out swear words in a hurry, her efforts were not for promotion and pleasing.

Facing the hesitation of the person in charge, she wrote the time on his window glass every day to remind that the "time" was passing.

On May 1, 2011, the U.S. Navy SEAL Team 6 finally hit the ground running, and it was such a wonderful scene that I literally held my breath while watching it.

Maya seemed to hold her breath as bin Laden's body was dragged back.

Until she was finally determined to have completed the task and was about to leave here, she cried bitterly.

Ten years after 9/11, bin Laden was finally killed! Has he paid for it all? So many lives, his life, or the lives of members of terrorist organizations enough to pay?

What does Maya's tears mean?

Is it the joy of revenge?

Is it to find that even if the revenge is successful, you can't really feel joy?

Is it the relief of completing the task?

Still confused about these eight years?

The film shows the grief of both sides in the "horror event".

I used three key words to relate Maya: "hell on earth", "scarred" and "suffering confrontation", which word does not require great effort!

And in the end, it didn't seem to make any sense.

This movie is very good. It is not the main theme of the United States, and there is no deliberate heroic shaping. Instead, it shows a universal helplessness from an extreme event.

Hopefully, all of our "persistence" will be worth it.
