On January 19, 2000, this peerless beauty passed away in the dawn of the new century. Nineteen days ago, she had just watched the New Year's concert in her hometown Vienna. Life may indeed be a reincarnation.
I watched it one after another during the three-day lunch break. Before, I only knew her well-known label: beautiful actress, mother of wifi. There is not much writing in the film about her achievements as an actress, but presents her life in a three-dimensional and complete form.
Her story is full of movie-like moments: escaping from her arms dealer husband on a bicycle by sneaking into a maid’s clothes, away from the Nazi iron shoes; after that, she met MGM on a ship to London, and received Hedy Lamarr, a marine-like character. Name, became a Jewish actor who was acquired by Hollywood at a low price... She is not a successful movie star, and has never played roles such as Princess Sissi and My Fair Lady. The nude mirror in the early years and the shocking role in the later period have never stopped attracting controversy for her.
But at each stage of Hedy Lamarr's life, she has contributed in a unique way. What's so touching about her is this: a whole person. Such a beautiful face does not exist to become another exquisite vase in the Hollywood window. A beautiful body has an equally beautiful soul.
