While surfing the Internet, I came across a point of view that I found quite interesting. The opinion is that if you don't like Birds of Prey, but you like the new version of Suicide Squad, then you actually like Birds of Prey.
I had this feeling the first time I watched the new Suicide Squad. I think the styles of the two films are similar. It's just that the former is a bigger, more sophisticated, more upbeat, and more entertaining movie. Of course, the same R-rated film, the former is significantly larger in size. The action scenes of "Birds of Prey" are indeed lower than expected. The scenes, action arrangement, shot rhythm, and smoothness of shooting all have a relatively large room for improvement. The similarity is, of course, reflected in Harley, for whom the two films were shot back-to-back. Robbie's performance is not deliberately major. Action scenes and emotional scenes are basically the same. To say the biggest difference, I think of a sentence from the guide. He said that he and Robbie are basically similar in terms of understanding of Harley, but in comparison, his understanding of Harley is softer than Robbie's understanding of Harley. Harley in Suicide Squad is crazy sexy and of course very cute, but also has some lyrical occasionally. For example, the previous one was in the rain, and this one was "accidentally" killed. Harley in Suicide Squad has some objective presentation; Harley in Birds of Prey has a more subjective presentation.
"Birds of Prey" seems like an unexpected movie to those who have followed the DCEU from the beginning. Personally, I like this very much. Gotham with Harley as the protagonist is more lifelike, full of colors of Harley's personal attributes, and it is colorful.
It's a big pity that the members of the Birds of Prey team have less roles, especially if they don't have a follow-up in the movie or series, it will be a bigger pity. Perhaps, we can look forward to future works such as "Batgirl". This should be the biggest regret of the comic book movie. Some characters, you just fall in love, they hang up, and some characters, you already fall in love, but don't know when you will come again
