big threat theory

King Kong, Mount Tai, the sea monster, the city in the sky... etc. There are too many examples of the same theme, but when I read it, my heart is still sour.
It's very similar to "King Kong", the giant always gives people too much sense of shock, so there are monsters about Gesla, "Clover File" and other themes that have to run out again and again to "invade people". Homes", "destroying beautiful cities"... But in fact, these are all just entertainment projects for people to scare themselves.
From the extinction of the mammoth, the moa, and the Haast eagle to the precarious fate of the great white shark, the reality we have always faced is the fate of those behemoths being driven out and hunted down by people.
Big, is it a threat? Perhaps selfish self-preservation and shrinking from competition are the greatest enemies.
Big, not only have rights; but also bear more responsibilities.
Just like when the steel giant took on the disaster for innocent lives, individuals who are not strong enough have no such ability, when the disaster happens? Isn't the hero we expect also a Giant who is stronger than everyone and everyone?
So, the Great Power Threat Theory? It is also a truth~

It turns out that English is not only an international lingua franca, but also a universal lingua franca. The United States should be the largest country in the world, because every time something falls on the earth, it will fall on the United States. Iron man is very loving, the robot version of "King Kong", this ending should be the best. 2014.11.5

The Iron Giant quotes

  • General Rogard: You'll be Chief Inspector of Subway Toilets by the time I'm through with you!

  • Hogarth Hughes: I know you feel bad about the deer, but it's not your fault. Things die. That's part of life. It's bad to kill, but it's not bad to die.

    The Iron Giant: You die?

    Hogarth Hughes: Well, yes, someday.

    The Iron Giant: I die?

Hogarth Hughes: I don't know. You're made of metal, but you have feelings, and you think about things, and that means you have a soul. And souls don't die.

    The Iron Giant: Soul?

Hogarth Hughes: Mom says it's something inside of all good things, and that it goes on forever and ever.

[Hogarth leaves. The Iron Giant lays back to look at the stars]

The Iron Giant: Souls don't die.
