After 1.5 billion years, the sun will age and become a red giant star. The temperature is 10,000 degrees, and all life is gone. This is the history of the solar system that we know roughly by our current knowledge. It is only a short moment in the time dimension (excluding the past and present lives of the universe), but it is by no means beyond human control, and it is sad to think about it.
