Racial discrimination during the Cold War.
I saw a short video before, in which black mothers taught their children to give positive psychological cues. One of them commented that "black people's psychology must be strong, otherwise life will be very depressing." At the time, I was still surprised and felt that this comment was too heavy-handed. After all, the world I came into contact with was peace and love.
After watching this movie, I remembered that comment again, and felt that maybe I didn’t know enough about the world.
Racism is an invisible pressure that can be felt all the time, as if you can only breathe and breathe in certain "colored areas." Talk about some of the most direct feelings:
1. Taraji P. Hansen was lucky to meet a good boss and smashed the bathroom partition for her, thinking that "in NASA our shit is the same color", he did not keep suppressing Han because of his skin color Sen, but to give Hansen an opportunity to show his talent, which belongs to the story of Maxima and Bole.
2. Janelle Monnai has the support of her family. She insists on obtaining the right to study for black women, but her husband is not supportive and has a negative attitude. She hopes Monnai will give up, thinking that this is an impossible thing. But Meng Nai is a persevering person. She went to the court to sue, gave sufficient arguments to the judge, and finally obtained the qualification to study at Ye University. At this moment, her husband gave Meng Nai sufficient support, believing that she could become the first black woman. Programmers have undertaken the task of taking care of children by themselves, and the power of family support is endless.
3. Mona's husband showed the children the news of black civilians being beaten to death. The reality is cruel, Meng Nai does not want children to understand the problem of racial discrimination too early, but every black person needs to face it sooner or later, although it will cause harm to the children's hearts, but this is the truth, they want facing the living environment.
4. Octavia Spencer, who has been working hard but never got a chance to be promoted, she sensed the dangers that calculators would face in advance, and selflessly trained calculators to learn programming. Of course, she first taught herself programming . After becoming a department head by virtue of her own strength, she once again selflessly trained white people who were once racially discriminated to become a programmer.
5. There is no doubt that even the library separates people of color. Spencer, who brought children to computers, was kicked out, but she managed to bring out the book she needed because she was a taxpayer. People, taxpayers have the right to read library books, that's not stealing.
The three talented black women have won their own success and respect through their unremitting efforts, never-give-up spirit, forbearance and broad mind.
Very good inspirational film.
