Wasn't it filmed for us?

For a long time, I felt that American films would not be as obscure as some Chinese commercial films. If you think that mainstream audiences in the United States can understand them, then we Chinese college students must understand them, right? It was easy, after reading it (we read it with a laptop after the lights were turned off in our bedroom), I suddenly found that I couldn't fall asleep at all, not because it was too scary, but because---it was a slap in the face, I didn't know the result at all. What's the matter, that's how things ended up in the end? It's so speechless that even the people in one of our dormitories can't understand it. Isn't it filmed for people like us?
Doubt 1: What role does child abuse play in the film? Using such a clue to connect the heroine to the whole thing feels far-fetched;
doubt two: why did the dead mother protect the heroine? I've never figured this out. If she was so good, why didn't she save the people who were killed before? (Or only the heroine thought of going to the burned house and found the mother's body, so...) If so, why didn't the policeman be rescued...
Doubt 3: Why did the mother's corpse climb onto the heroine and say "forgive me"? Forgive what?
Doubt 4: In the end, the ghost was taken away by her mother, and where did it go? Is it over or just saved the heroine
Doubt 5: After the man died, the phone still made a call, and who was it for? ? Are you going to continue?
Doubt 6: The heroine's history of being abused has a lot of weight in the film, but I don't know where the contribution to the entire movie is, and where does the impact on the entire movie's plot appear. It seems that there is only a shadow when the heroine looks at the cat's eye. ..
Doubt 7: Is the delivery of calls random or regular?
Doubt 8: What happened to the corpse of the asthmatic eldest daughter after she died, why did she turn into a ghost, and is it better to find her corpse than to find her mother's corpse?
Doubt 9: What are the two letters the girl received, and what role do they play in the plot...
I can only think of so much for the time being. I don't know if the audience has these questions, or my IQ...

One Missed Call quotes

  • Beth Raymond: [reading the caller ID on Leann's cell] It says it's from Shelley. Who'd be calling on Shelley's phone?

    Leann Cole: [after missing the call and reading the date] That's creepy. It's dated Monday, 10:17 p.m.

    Beth Raymond: It's Friday. Maybe you just set the date wrong.

    Beth Raymond: [as Leann listens to the voicemail looking slightly creeped out] Leann, what is it? Leann?

  • Beth Raymond: [to Leann] Are you ok?

    Leann Cole: I haven't been sleeping to well.

    Beth Raymond: Call me tonight. I'll read you my paper on developmental perspectives in abuse cases. It's better than Ambien.
