The drama that caught my heart during this period was "The Racket Boy". Although it only aired two episodes, two episodes were enough for me to like it, making me think that this drama will definitely become a high-scoring Korean drama this year.

"Racket Boys" tells the story of Seoul baseball boy Haikang following the father of a poor badminton coach to the countryside to form a youth badminton team to sprint for the national championship. The screenwriter once wrote "The Witty Prison Life", and this script is worth looking forward to.

Episodes 1 and 2 are huge, and each episode lasts nearly 70 minutes. It is also comedy, group portrait, healing, plus sports competition, hot-blooded teenager. In terms of the scarcity and innovation of the subject matter, this drama has its own competitiveness.

In the first episode, I made a brief record. The story begins with a small family. The first three scenes explain that Haikang’s father’s financial distress has made Haikang, who is extremely capable of baseball, lose the opportunity to be selected. The whole family decides to go to the countryside for a living. Games 4-6 paved the way for the environment the Haikang family will face. There is no internet, there are bears, unfriendly neighbor grandmothers, and consumption that is not cheaper than the city. As the plot moves forward, the team that Haikang's father will lead is also terrible. There is no money and no one. Finally, a black man comes and leaves. The members of the dormitory decided to fool Haikang into participating in the team competition a few days later, and only then did they learn that Haikang was once a talented badminton boy. But the junior high school teenager lost to a primary school student, and the coach of the women's team who didn't deal with was Haikang's mother.

The portrayal of characters in the story moved me very much. In the first episode, in addition to explaining the road to the formation of the Youth League, I also gave pen and ink to the elderly in the countryside. The seemingly mean grandma has a room that no one is allowed to enter, and the story begins to foreshadow. Then I opened it up and found out that it was a "city room" specially prepared by my grandmother for my little grandson. It had Wi-Fi, toys and air conditioners, but I couldn't keep my grandson. In addition to being arrogant, Haikang is also a very kind child. He carefully helped grandma fix the TV and found that grandma was illiterate and did not break it.

The second episode about grandma also gave a warm explanation. The mean grandma was very rude to the new leader and couple from the city, and then the grandma went to the city alone to attend the grand-nephew's birthday banquet. A city teenager worked hard to help grandma find a place. The couple gave up suicide because of Haikang's warmth, and when they wanted to eat kimchi, they received kimchi from their grandmother. At first, I thought that sending grandma to the restaurant was a "wasted play", and even the grandmother part was a bit of a waste. But it was not until the neighbor who gave up suicide that he met his grandmother on the road and asked why he sent kimchi. Grandma recalled that the boy came back when he was also asked why he was so busy and wanted to help him.

"Because a person arrives in a new place, he must be a little scared. It would be better to give a little more warmth at this time."

Obviously, the screenwriter didn't just want to tell how a group of teenagers counterattack like "Dragon Cherry" and "Major League Baseball", but more wanted to tell a kind story.

In fact, it is a bit biased, the youth in the story is very strong and very cute. Everyone's small shortcomings become small highlights, and every detail is very moving. Haikang’s father was short of money for helping a friend to guarantee a big meal. He wanted to ask for money the day he saw his friend’s dinner, but when he was bending over, he saw the hole in his friend’s socks and gave up. The boy who stole the Haikang quota, his father worked hard to earn a training fee of 1 million won (about 6,000 RMB). In the second episode of Haikang's lore game, the motivation comes from the fact that the opponent is a traitor-a friend who used to be a teammate but suddenly changed schools. Anyway, very young and very cute.

How to grasp the works of sports competition themes? The first thing to think about is the essence of sportsmanship, not to win all the way, but to want to win. Putting it on the Youth League, in fact, sometimes failure is more important than winning, and it is more moving. Thinking of the heart-warming story of the Jiaziyuan Village Team, there is no good sports competition drama at home and abroad in "Chess Soul".

This drama is worth learning for me is the characterization part, as well as the sense of comedy. Similarly, the humanistic care of the screenwriter can be clearly felt. What makes me think is whether meaningful "wasted dramas" should be deleted... In any case, this will definitely be a drama that can heal you.
