Shallow viewing: Enlightenment works of the Resident Evil series

Opened the door to my understanding of the zombie apocalypse, which appeared more than once in my youthful nightmares

Resident Evil Part 1 is, in my opinion, a good start to the Resident Evil series, and it is (in my opinion) one of the top three works in the series.

The underground buildings, infected humans, dogs, mutants, huge group companies, and the dark environment gave me a great impact at the time. At the same time, it also provided a foundation for many subsequent doomsday crisis works. I have read many doomsday novels in the follow-up, and they all follow the meaning of Resident Evil.

"Resident Evil 1" is also second to none in the creation of classic scenes. A head came out and the elevator suddenly fell (this picture appeared in my mind when I was in the elevator many years later), the hydraulic zombies suddenly opened their eyes, the elevator door opened, and there were dense groups of zombies inside, and even the holographic projection of the Red Queen, etc. Wait, it had a huge impact on me when I was young, and I remember it for a long time.

"Resident Evil 1" is a cool drama with a special theme in my opinion, and there is no need to talk about meaning and character building, but the red dress of the heroine Alice really experienced me, and I am a child forever. During the big drama, I was worried that she would disappear, but later I found out that I was thinking too much.

Resident Evil quotes

  • Spence: What happened here?

[Alice and Matt both look towards "One" rather anxiously for an answer as well]

James "One" Shade: Five hours ago Red Queen went homicidal, sealed the Hive and killed everyone down here.

    Spence: Jesus!

James "One" Shade: When we realized what was happening, my team was dispatched to shut her down.

Alice: Why did she do it?

James "One" Shade: That we don't know, but outside interference is a possibility.

  • Alice: I'm not sure I want to remember what went on down here.

James "One" Shade: I don't blame you.
