Just talk about it, that's it~

To be honest, I just went for the title, "The Clover Archives". I didn't watch the introduction at all before, and thought it was a suspenseful film. I didn't expect it to be a sci-fi disaster documentary ~

When I saw the 15th minute, something happened temporarily and it was turned off. But I kept thinking about it strangely, I even thought whether I downloaded the wrong movie, or I downloaded it as a gun version, so it seems that the shooting was still very real at the beginning.

At 20 minutes, the movie started to get into the main topic. Well, it’s almost the same as most beautiful movies. It took a long time to explain the background of the characters, such as "King Kong".
In fact, talking about 20 minutes of nonsense, on the contrary, it highlights the authenticity. At least after reading it, you will feel that it is indeed a video tape of the rest of your life after the war.

Regarding rigor, I think there are still few science fiction films that can withstand scrutiny, so the focus of this film is not necessarily on the issues of whether monsters can't be killed or DV can't be broken.

In terms of details, I think there are some that can highlight the sense of reality, such as the DV clips that have been interspersed. When the protagonist asks about the tape in the DV, the attitude that is a little disappointed and a pity still reflects some of the character's personality and thoughts.

Regarding some of the bugs in the shooting, it is obvious that the director compromised in order to take care of the audience. Otherwise, you don't see anything from the beginning to the end of a film, and you just hear the screams, will you feel very real? Hahaha~

The HUD shooting skills are also explained to a certain extent in the film. At the beginning, when the protagonist’s younger brother JASON used it, it was obviously a bit trembling. When he handed it over to the HUD to shoot, I suddenly felt a lot clearer. Canceling the time and date in the lower left corner, plus the reason that JASON asked him to shoot, more or less can explain that the HUD itself

has a certain shooting technology, and finally when the protagonist continues to use DV to get under the bridge, I don’t know you. Do you feel that the
filming started to be a bit bad again? So the director is at least a bit more realistic in this detail~ Regarding HUD's desperate professional shooting, this should be more related to the character's personality.

The final conclusion, I have to say, is still as I wished, at least not much from what I imagined, and there is no happy ending that is common in American movies, and it is similar to Transformers, and it seems to be good at shooting. The sequel ~

just talk about it casually, anyway, it is a good film, more humane.

PS: The opening DV at 6:42 on April 27 and the last Thursday at 6:42 on May 23 are more interesting.

I was not used to it at first, and it was a bit uncomfortable to dangle, but after seeing it, I felt that I should change my mind and regard myself as the person who picked up this videotape, watching the story, not as a movie. Moreover, the actors acted very well, and they were too real, which added to the feeling of "watching the scene". In fact, the story is really a simple story, but I like this way of expression more than the grandeur of the blockbuster. And that ending, really... I sighed silently again.

Cloverfield quotes

  • Jason Hawkins: [to panicked friends] Shut up! All right, we don't know what we saw. The point is it's still here, all right? So we need to get the hell out of Manhattan! Now!

  • Hud: Are you okay?

Marlena Diamond: You tell me. How does it look?

[Hud sees Marlena's bloody back shoulder]

Hud: It looks like it hurts.

Marlena Diamond: What do you mean? Are you saying this isn't attractive at all?

    Hud: A little bit.
