A Pure Great Soul--Rocky Balboa

Christmas Eve, soaked in the cinema for a long time.

I'm sure it's not just me who was moved by the story of Rocky Balboa? Rocky's well-known name represents a spirit that I'm glad it lives on in our generation and beyond. I have to admit that when I found out there was going to be a new Rocky (the sixth episode in the series), I didn't think so. Intuitively think of Arnold's Terminator 3, which has no meaning except for gimmicks and momentum. The superfluous result is irresponsible to the audience. And it's been nearly ten years since the last episode, who wants to see Loki wrinkled and beer belly? But it's not.

I think the character Loki is hard to hate. The simple reason, despite all the ups and downs after twenty years, he's still Rocky—the cheerful, straight-forward, inarticulate, kind but absolutely indomitable Rocky from the streets of Philadelphia.

Impressive episode 5 has a scene where Rocky and his son are jogging up the stairs to Philadelphia Square, watching people make a statue of him. "Isn't that bad?" He smiled and said to his son, "As long as this thing is there, the birds will not have to worry about nowhere to rest."

Looking at the bronze statue, what the man saw was not his own great achievements, but the other Birds jump happily on their shoulders. Although he was a heavyweight champion, even though he had the opportunity to hold inexhaustible money and power, the first thing in his mind was always whether others were happy or not. If others were happy, he would be happy too. It doesn't depend on whether he has money, it doesn't depend on how many belts he wears around his waist, that's what he thinks, so sincere, simple, and compassionate. Such a Loki, can you find a reason to hate him?

And after n years, the taste has not changed, wearing that familiar hat, remembering his wife Adrian, loving his son, his Friends, his hometown, and the emotion of the audience who grew up with Rocky... He always makes people laugh and find courage.

He is forever champion

Rocky Balboa.

Although it feels a little hypocritical, it can be regarded as a full stop to this classic series.

It's very sad, it has nothing to do with the movie, it's just that I'm getting old, the color grading of the old man and the dog must be the same as that of Wong Kar Wai. I don't want to watch it anymore after watching it halfway through. I'll go to you. . .

Rocky Balboa quotes

  • Mason 'The Line' Dixon: It's already over.

Rocky Balboa: There ain't nothin' over 'til it's over.

Mason 'The Line' Dixon: What's that from, the '80s?

Rocky Balboa: That's probably the '70s.

  • Paulie: Who's the criminal?

Rocky Balboa: He's a nice kid.

Paulie: He dresses like a bum.

Rocky Balboa: Oh, coming from a human hamper, that's quite a compliment.
