I watched this classic film in two days, which may have been introduced by music teachers as early as in elementary school and junior high school. The tone is harmonious, the music is beautiful, the picture is beautiful, the feelings are sincere, and there is a peaceful atmosphere. It's really a great movie and I will watch it again. Except for the hero. I have 4 points of dissatisfaction with him:
1. The ex-wife gave birth to seven children intensively. At the beginning of the film, the eldest is 16 years old and the eldest is 5 years old, which means that she has given birth to 7 children in 11 years, an average of one every 1.5 years. So I am not at all surprised that she died prematurely. It is well known that when a woman has a child, she is on her way to hell. If the husband did a little bit of contraception, it probably wouldn't be the case. Of course, some people may say, ah, this is for the background setting of the movie, it requires a relatively dense age and a lot of people, then I think four or five can also achieve the goal.
2. Chicken thief. Captain is so rich, yet he still intends not to have a tutor after his second marriage. In other words, he believes that mothers can have the ability to be tutors at the same time. Look, how much money is saved, after marrying a wife, the money for tutoring is saved, and the woman is simply doing white labor.
3. Not responsible. After Maria left the colonel's house because of her concern, the colonel planned to marry the baroness as usual although he had a good impression of her. This is an act of irresponsibility to the Baroness and herself.
4. Seamless connection. Maria returned to the Colonel's house in the afternoon. In the evening, the Colonel and the Baroness proposed to dissolve the engagement. At night, she confessed to Maria, and the two kissed. Look at the speed of this breakup, does it look like a scumbag who seamlessly connects love in life.
After talking about the male lead, let's talk about the female lead, I like her very much.
She's patient with her children—although the contemporary doesn't preach stepmothers, perpetually lively, energetic, loving, and striving for freedom.
What I like most about her is that she knows how to cheer herself up when she's sad, see the song "My favourite things", "raindrops on roses and little cat whiskers", romantic and tender, and heart-warming. This is a quality that many contemporary bereaved young people, such as me, do not possess. This feature of hers is in line with the central idea of the movie "Spiritual Journey", although the latter further elaborates not to pursue one-time success, but to pursue the little joys in life.
And when the baroness told her that the colonel liked her, she didn't hesitate, didn't delay, didn't bother the children, and left immediately. I don't have this power. Come back again after thinking about it, more responsible.
