2.5 stars for plot rhythm, 1 star for performance, and 0.5 star for music. The master and Freddie's performances were great, as were some of the other supporting roles. Two extremely complex people, the relationship between the master and Freddie is not equal, the master has a charismatic personality, has a good education, a high-level liar (manipulator) who understands psychology, and even sells his logic and scattered ethics, he I "believe" myself. Freddie, Veteran sailor, poorly educated, poor, alcoholic, confused, unpredictable, lived like an animal, bestiality > rationality.

At first, he got on the master's ship when he was escaping, mainly relying on him for the sake of food and clothing. And the master seems to have found an experiment and a "toy".

Freddie's stupidity, or a survival strategy, he acted as the master's faithful "cultivator" in the back. But when the police came to arrest the master, he angrily went to stop the police and started fighting, so he was also arrested, next to the master, across the iron railing. He seemed to have a "great fear of arrest and imprisonment," as the master explained calmly on the side. Freddie in that situation, shouted "you know the shit, you are a liar". There is a strong contradiction here. In order to protect and maintain the master, he fought against the police, but blurted out that what the master said was a lie.

Only Freddie knew whether he believed in the master or not. Or does he unconsciously act as a faithful believer in order to survive, in order to maintain his "friendship" with the master, for a sense of belonging? He may not be able to answer this question himself. Because he is a simple-minded person, but not mentally retarded.

On the other hand, Master enjoys Freddie's loyalty and cooperation. He likes to be in control of him. But in the second half, they went to drive a motorcycle, the master's game, pointing to a point and driving past at the fastest speed. Freddie left without saying goodbye. He himself went to see the sister of a friend he once knew, and he promised to go back to see her after the war was over, but he never went back. Just so suddenly. This incident must have made the master very upset, even insulted. Freddie ate and drank for so long, so he gave him a "surprise" under his eyes. Must be very faceless, disappointed, angry.

But he actually guessed where Freddie was, or found him in some way, called him while he was watching a movie, told him to go to England, or lured him over and said he needed him.

I don't know how long, Freddie passed, the master's wife didn't welcome him, the master told him "Sailor Freddie, you are so rebellious, you want to survive in this world, but you don't want anyone to be your master, I like it You find this way and tell everyone." The master actually gave him an ultimatum, and the choice, either be his pet or leave forever.

Freddie's expression was absolutely deduced, it was a kind of hurt and confusion, he thought that the master really loved him, there was a free lunch in the world, and he could go anywhere in the master's territory.

The love song "I want to take you on a ship to China, only you and me" sung by the master in front of Freddie at the end gave me goosebumps and felt like I had a love for Freddie. But it is actually an extraordinary desire for control and idolatry.

I think an animal like Freddie should not be able to accept a "collar" as a domestic dog. In the end, he should have left. He lives in the world, and he can't afford alcohol in the bar.

But he has a new Gimmick, which is the "Dafa" of the master. Will he become a new master?
