But as a movie, Michael Collins is a very successful work. You'll be surprised at the beginning that the actor's Irish accent isn't that annoying, and you don't want some Pitt's crappy American-Irish country accent in Devil's Own to be uncomfortable. What's even more amazing is that Collins stayed at a friend's house after arriving in Dublin, and his friend had a Dublin accent - note that this is very different from the accent in other parts of Ireland. When I discovered this, I couldn't help but pull the bar back and listen to it again. I admired the director's carefulness and the actors' skills.
No country's War of Independence movie in the world will be as wonderful as China's, because the Chinese Civil War can bring 200,000 troops to the front, and 1/3 of them die, but the death toll of the entire Irish War of Independence is only about 1,500 (wikipedia. com), although the director made this work so turbulent and thrilling that I was disappointed for a long time when I finally found out that the number of deaths was only this small.
As a history study of other countries, this movie is a good supplementary teaching material, especially for students who are too lazy to read books, watching other countries' War of Independence movies with rice and cola, while learning is also a kind of enjoyment.

first time, I was confused in many places, after all, the history is too unfamiliar. Thinking that the terrorism that Michael Collins used to fight for national independence had such a deep influence that the problem of Northern Ireland has always been a hot potato, and sometimes it really makes people smile bitterly.
