simple and stupid jumper

It has always been very strange that the owners of superpowers in movies either regard themselves as saviors, superheroes, saying that with great power comes great responsibility. Or it is very ambitious, wanting to rule the world or even destroy the world.
This time there was finally a normal person. David, the protagonist of the film, ran away from home immediately after discovering that he had superpowers and went to the bank vault for a while. And he did not have any ambition to steal banks all over the world and become the richest man in the world, nor did he steal nuclear warheads to destroy the world. Of course, this money is not used to help the poor. I went to New York to get a luxury apartment, traveled all over the world every day, soaked in MM, carefree and happy.
Until one day, a paladin appeared to kill him. The reason for these paladins to chase and kill is very simple. Only God should have this ability. Sooner or later, those who have this ability will become bad, so they are killed. Friends, family, and those who know it are also killed. Clean and refreshing. Not a mother-in-law at all.
There is no justice and evil, no twists and turns, no profound philosophies, no tricks, and it's as simple as that.
Keep it simple, stupid. It's great!

Jumper quotes

  • David Rice: [referring to bomb] What's that?

    Griffin: What?

David Rice: What are you doing?

Griffin: Nothing, I was uh, you know thinking about going bowling

    David Rice: What?

Griffin: Roland's in there with his whole army. I'm going to go back there and end this, what do you think? Yeah I'm gonna blow him to Timbuktu.

    David Rice: Millie's in there!

Griffin: Oh yeah, there is that as well.

David Rice: Let me tell you about my day so far. Coffee in Paris, surfed the Maldives, took a little nap on Kilimanjaro. Oh, yeah, I got digits from this Polish chick in Rio. And then I jumped back for the final quarter of the N.B.A. finals - courtside of course. And all that was before lunch. I could go on, but all I'm saying is, I'm standing on top of the world.
