all the wild summer was in her gaze

When the camera stops on Amina's face, the phrase "her eyes go all scottish loch on me..." is what pops up in my mind... that's right, big eyes like Scottish lakes. That's why the play uses "all the wild summer was" in her gaze" couldn't be more apt.

Compared with "I Can't Think Straight", "The World Unseen" focuses on the racial issues and the background of the times in mid-20th century South Africa, as well as the "white only" and "colored only" visible directors everywhere in the picture of long-standing feminist issues. It also deliberately and silently emphasized this kind of conflict. Two people do not have as much interaction and love as in ICST. The eyes and small movements of one person are enough to explain everything. The use of shooting techniques in which two people occupy the entire picture highlights the strength of the two people in the world where only each other is strong. The impulse repression of emotion is a bit like the kiss between Ellie and Aster in "The Half of It" that didn't last until the end, but it's hard to stop

big eyes like scottish lakes

I have to say that the acting skills of the two people are remarkable. The characters played in the two dramas are very different, but they are very well controlled. To evaluate a good actor depends on whether he/she can make the audience focus on the role in the play and forget the actor himself

"The Art of Watching Films" emphasizes that Actor is "subordinate to the film". As a layman, I often forget this point. I am obsessed with the feelings of the characters in the film. With the ups and downs of the plot, I can never be absolutely objective.

In this part, Amina, who is dressed in a cowboy, is just an oversize men's white shirt, fat pants, and a sun hat on Amina's body, but it makes people reluctant to look away.

I don't know if there really was a point in the middle of the last century that looks modern today but that's definitely a plus point for the movie and why I especially like it

Well, I'm not everybody.

"Mommy, why is she wearing trousers?" "Because she works outside."

"I'm just a housewife and a mother." "And doesn't a housewife have thoughts and feelings and wishes, just like everyone else?"

"Is there anything that you don't do?" "I have to give people something to talk about." '"Do you ever think about getting married and having children instead?" "Yeah...It's that word 'insread' I don't like. Why can't a woman do both if she wants to?" "It's not usual." "No. But neither am I, and neither are you."

"I hope I didn't worry you with all my strange ideas and sotries last night." "No, you made me think, and that's, supposed to be a good thing, isn't it?" "That depends on who you ask."

"I'm married. And you're a woman." "Those are not good reasons."

"I know, I know, but...lately I've been wandering whether it's worth going after certain people, no matter how strongly you feel about them." "You more than anyone, has taught me that it is worth it. Don't start changing now, Amina."

"Doesn't people have anything better to do?" "No, they don't. That's why I tried to avoid them."

The emotional line between Jacob and Madeline is also very colorful. There is helplessness and dignity. The power of the light of humanity is in a bad environment. Sincerity between people is always valuable

And the kindness of my father

I really like the setting of Location Cafe, it makes people feel very warm, especially this scene has a good feeling of time and quiet

I still like the ending Miriam took a brave step to face who she really is Amina's smile Jacob and Madeline's feelings will continue The explicit hints of the rise of women's rights and racial equality will be meaningful

It is not easy to include so much content in just 90 minutes. People in the 21st century seem to have a long way to go to the end. May all the beauty and yearning in the world have a place to live.

PS Love III ——George Herbert Love bade me welcome, yet my soul drew back, Guilty of dust and sin. But quick-ey'd Love, observing me grow slack From my first entrance in, Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning If I lack'd anything. "A guest," I answer'd, "worthy to be here"; Love said, "You shall be he."

Maybe you wanted to see me.
