meet a bad woman

Everyone says good girls go to heaven and bad girls go everywhere.

This sentence is really not a classic. So, in the process of bad girls going everywhere, we always encounter a few women who are bad to the core, such as ROXIE and WELMA. The two women have almost the same scheming, they are both murderers, and they seem to have the same motive (they both killed their lover and husband who betrayed them, and the latter even killed their own sister). Such a bad woman, what else is there to defend?

But what's funny is that they met an expert criminal lawyer, BILLY, a court veteran who can cover the sky with one hand and confuse right and wrong. And the price he wants is not too much, $5,000! As long as you have $5,000, what's the point of killing someone in the materialistic world of Chicago? As MAMA (the warden) said, in this city, a few murders happen every day, it is too unworthy of mentioning.

As the plot develops, the two bad women's organs are exhausted and they have freedom. Later, the two joined forces and found their own value on the JAZZ stage. Dirty or vulgar, miracles happen every day in order to survive.

As a musical film, the song and dance scenes in it are the most commendable. My favorite is the prison tango. I have to read it almost every day and reminisce. The choreography of the dance drama, the soundness of the music, the heavy rhythm of the tango, and the clarity of the narrative make people addicted to watching it. And the six female prisoners each performed their own prison tango, telling the world about their state of mind, from being forced to kill, to how to get arrested, and then to the awakening of the tango, "they are self-inflicted, we are not guilty" cry. Really shocking.

There is also a play within a play, which is the puppet show of ROXIE and BILLY. This scene vividly portrays the clown-like performance of the two in front of reporters and public opinion. Every time I see their expressions, I can't help but want to laugh. This is really a wonderful thing that can only be understood and cannot be described in words.

Although this film is relatively old, I still recommend finding it and watching it. After all, it is an honor to meet such a bad woman in my life.
