A wonderful magic movie, a story full of fantasy, excellent character design, realistic props and scenes restoration, from the forest god "Wood Elf" to the small Calcada "Tooth Fairy", all portrayed Lifelike, so that the film presents a more perfect visual experience.
Every character in the film is very three-dimensional. Although the villain, Prince Nuo Ada brutally killed his father, trying to wake up the "Golden Legion" to provoke a new round of war, from his standpoint, I still can't hate it. This role, because of human greed and unscrupulous development, overwhelmed the ecosystem and lost its balance. When Hellboy killed the last "Wood Elf", was it an indictment of nature, telling us every minute A species disappears in seconds, and that paragraph is profound and worth savoring.
In the film, I also saw the shadow of many other films, "Occult Research and Development Agency" is like the scene in the "Men in Black" animation series, especially many strange creatures are a bit like aliens; "Monster Market" is like "Monster Market". "Diagon Alley" in Harry Potter; the moment when the "Wood Elf" died, reminded me of Hayao Miyazaki's animated film "Princess Mononoke", and also the god of the forest died and turned into grass and trees; King Balor's Steward reminds me of the monster in Pan's Labyrinth.
In the film, Hellboy is about to become a father, and the "Murloc" also gained a sincere and beautiful love. Although the death of Princess Nuala in the end made this relationship come to an end, I think each of them will enter a new life and enter a new stage.
