The 4th screening day of the main competition unit of the 17th Faroe Island Film Festival brings you "Boy Meets Girl". Let's see the evaluation of people who are eager for love on the front line.
Cangshan ancient well empty to the moon:
The feeling of literature and art is small and fresh, except for the good black and white light and shadow, the other has no sense.
all:
Every frame reminds me of my time in Paris, some cities have qualities that transcend time.
zzy granite:
Karax's directorial debut, fragmented plot, slow rhythm, lonely young men and women cuddling with each other, the lights hit their faces, pale but beautiful.
Pours full of Zhao +:
He passed by Xinqiao Lover and tossed two coins. The black and white light and shadow are excellent, but there is no sense of romance at all. I have watched too many movies where lonely men and women complain about each other's heartbreak (this is life?)
Fruit trees:
Karax's debut novel has been literary and artistic to the end, the love of everyone in the whole city is collapsing, and after the destruction, I can't help but want to look forward to a new life. The kitchen scene is too finishing touch, the point-to-point of the meta movie and the jump cut of the billiard room sublime the whole movie.
Matsuno Soramatsu:
Using splash screens and jump cuts to complete emotional fragments, the quick editing in the first half aims to establish a fragmented connection between boys and girls, but too many boy's broken words prove to be a one-way connection, and the overlapping gaze is more wishful thinking. Only the blood at the end can wake up.
Donnie:
The language of the camera lens is innovative and humorous, full of the youthful childishness and good intentions of young directors. The stories of several couples are interspersed with each other, the monologues are often precise and typical, and the roaming French stories are really fascinating, and it is amazing to be Carax's debut work.
Catcatcatyang :
In the film, I like to wander through the streets and shuttle between all kinds of people, as well as encounters at parties and different stages of life. But there's a bit of a forced formula about love. The picture is fine, except for the faces that fade in and out. If you don't like the male protagonist, all points will be deducted for the male protagonist. Someone at the party said, "Mozart died two years at my age".
Ou Yin:
The composition, stacking, and mirroring in black-and-white photography are very textured. The characters in the film seem to be in different layers, which just concretizes the communication barriers pointed out by the old man, and also echoes the sad tone and tragic ending of the whole film. There are too many wonderful and memorable sentences in the film, but unfortunately the story itself is not too engaging - French directors are too good at portraying similar emotions.
Midnight no one:
The degree of madness and love are not as extreme as the later "Xinqiao Lovers", but after removing the romantic coloring, there is another layer of gray and white coldness washed up. The so-called "destined" and "out of control" have been snuffed out in advance. "Love is as old as human history, and lovers are tired and tired of love after love", they are like two weather-beaten grievances The same indulgently told the imagination of love, and then the water flooded the bathtub, blood smeared the nightdress, and the broken glass on the phone booth left a code of prophecy in advance.
Pincent:
Echoes of the New Wave, capturing several emotions and an emotional state, is a film that makes one want to write poetry. The splash screen, the fusion, the black field, the separation of sound and picture, the narration is like the ventriloquism of the characters, and it is also like a detailed elaboration of memory. Some of the compositions are irregular, in which the characters are positioned irregularly, conveying instability, internal collapse and expansion, and in the light the characters sleepwalk on the stage. Dancing in the starry sky, silent in the old-fashioned pick-up lines, just spitting out fragmented confessions about love, also poems, with some dark thoughts. It really hit me too much, such a fully contrasted black and white light and shadow is love itself.
DAY4's main competition publication will be released later, please wait and see.
