Some translations do a full-scale counterattack. In fact, such a free translation is based on the plot, which is far less cold and concise than the literal translation. The first 100 minutes were dull, cumbersome, lengthy, and fragmented. If it weren't for the counter-attack in the next ten minutes, it would have been included in the category of documentaries. Who would have thought that this was the work of the screenwriter and director of The Bourneage.
Another serious film from George Clooney in recent years, Clooney's performance is quite satisfactory, and his image of a handsome old man oppresses the performance. But Tilda Swinton's performance is impressive. The details of the sweat soaking the clothes under the armpits in the film remind me of Camacho, the head coach of the Spanish team in 2002. The cameras of the reporters always found it accurately. His armpits, as a testament to how nervous he is. And such details often indicate the helpless fate of the protagonist. The female lawyer's organs are exhausted, and they can't escape Clooney's beautiful counterattack at the end, just like Camacho's fate that he couldn't get rid of the get out of class in the end. The plot of this film is like In an extremely boring football match, the two sides did not achieve anything within 90 minutes, but the home team scored a goal in stoppage time, which was basically completed.
Putting aside the entertainment perception and spoofing the theme, this film ruthlessly exposes the decadence of bourgeois society and fully reflects the ugliness of human nature. It is really a masterpiece of criticizing realism! (Khan...) In addition, a large flashback structure is adopted in the narrative technique, but because the main body of the film is too bland and trivial, perhaps when the memory ends, the previous plot has long been forgotten. Of course, the result that good and evil will be rewarded still greatly satisfies the ultimate taste of my generation.

The plot is a bit boring, the actors' performances hold up everything

The shot is good and tasteful, the lens is second. It would be nice to show more of Clayton's personal emotions. Although there was a crash at the beginning, a father's birthday, and a conversation with his son, it didn't feel like enough.

Michael Clayton quotes

  • Karen Crowder: You don't want the money?

Michael Clayton: Keep the money. You'll need it.

Don Jefferies: Is this fellow bothering you?

Michael Clayton: Am I bothering you?

Don Jefferies: Karen, I've got a board waiting in there. What the hell's going on? Who are you?

Michael Clayton: I'm Shiva, the God of death.

  • Marty Bach: [on a cell phone conversation] Marty Bach, how can I help you?

Bridget Klein: Marty, hi. It's Bridget Klein. Look, we're going with a story tomorrow about a settlement in the U-North defoliant case. Do you want to comment?

Marty Bach: The case you're referring to is now as it has been for the last six years: Pending and unresolved. Until such time as our client has their day in court, and the plantiffs come to their senses and drop the suit, I'll have nothing of value to tell you.

Bridget Klein: Come on Marty, you're closing the U-North case, you're settling it, I know that. Okay? I know you're up there with like 600 people jamming this thing through.

Marty Bach: Well, here's what I know: Your deadline was twenty minutes ago. So either you're fishing for a story, or you're trying to get out of writing a retraction. In either case I wish you the best of luck.

    [he hangs up]

Marty Bach: Where the fuck is Karen Crowder?
