Before the Spring Festival in 2021, I did some homework and made a list of films. It's a pity that many films can't be found, and some have high ratings but are too literary and not entertaining enough. So the first movie was the 2015 British gangster film Legend, recommended by my son.

Regarding Western gangster films, there are gold and jade in the first place. For example, "The Godfather", which has always been worshipped, cannot be surpassed, and has been passed down forever, and "Once Upon a Time in America" and so on. "Legend" tells the story of a pair of brothers in the East End of London in the 1950s from the perspective of an old woman. The story is relatively bland. Brotherhood, women, and money are the eternal themes of gangster films. Decay, walking on the edge of the law, such gangster plots have been repeatedly fried. But this movie is Mr. Tang's personal show, and one person plays two brothers with very different personalities, Ron and Roger. Different facial expressions, nasal voices, and body language are used to set off the differences between the two brothers. The older brother is suave, cunning, shrewd, ambitious and charming. ; The younger brother suffers from schizophrenia, is violent and reckless, rejects his older brother's woman because of his possessiveness, and does not allow his older brother to deviate from their business for the sake of women, and eventually kills himself. The heroine is hopelessly in love with the gang boss, but she can't hold it, so she has to give up. The actress chose the doll type, beautiful but lacking self-confidence. Halfway through, I remembered that she was the ghost wife of the shadow in "American Gods".

I asked my son why he recommended this movie, and he said, "Mr. Tang is so handsome!" Indeed, Mr. Tang added points to this movie with his personal handsomeness.

The closing paragraph makes a lot of sense: the center of the world is where you like it, even the East End of London. The world is like London, it's not good, it's not bad, that's how it is!

  • Ronald Kray: ...And I'm staring at the back of this geezer's head. Drilling him with my eyes. The whole time thinking "Give Ron Kray your sausage. Give Ron your fucking sausage." Until, I'm not thinking it anymore; I'm broadcasting , through his skull and into his brain. 'Til he looks back at me and says "Ron, do you fancy my sausage? I've got no appetite this morning."
